IO Interactive started 2026 by sharing new details about its upcoming James Bond game, 007 First Light, including the PC requirements and special features developed with Nvidia. Following its announcement last year, excitement for 007 First Light is growing as the May 2026 release date approaches, and more information was recently revealed at the start of the new year.
While 007 First Light marks a new direction for IO Interactive as they move beyond the Hitman series, it still feels familiar. The initial gameplay reveal had some problems, but viewers quickly noticed core elements like blending in and silent takedowns were still present. IO Interactive has emphasized, however, that this new game expands on everything Hitman offered. Thanks to more recent trailers and footage, fans now have a clearer picture of what to anticipate.
007 First Light PC Specs and Exclusive Features
IO Interactive started the New Year by revealing the PC requirements and features for their upcoming game, 007 First Light. They’ve also partnered with Nvidia, who will be adding special features for PC players, including DLSS 4 and other RTX enhancements. This includes upscaling and frame generation technologies like Super Resolution and Multi Frame Generation (MFG) for those with GeForce RTX 50 series graphics cards. To further enhance the experience, IO Interactive has created a new volumetric smoke system, designed to make explosions, fog, and other smoke effects look incredibly realistic.
PC gamers can now check the system requirements for the upcoming game, 007 First Light. It doesn’t seem to be very demanding – the minimum requirements are 16 GB of RAM, 80 GB of storage, and an Nvidia GTX 1660 or AMD RX 5700 (or similar). Given that some PC games have trouble even with their listed minimum specs – like Borderlands 4 did – players might want to consider the recommended specs, which are detailed below, for a smoother experience.

Plus, IO Interactive is giving anyone who pre-orders 007 First Light a free upgrade to the Deluxe Edition. This offer won’t last forever, so if you’re interested, it’s best to pre-order soon. The Deluxe Edition includes four new outfits for James Bond, a special weapon skin called the Agent’s Mark, and the Gleaming Pack, which features unique versions of some of Bond’s gadgets like his lighter, pen, earphones, and dart gun.
The delay of Grand Theft Auto 6 may have actually helped 007 First Light, as more people are now focusing on IO Interactive’s game. Although 007 First Light was also pushed back slightly, it’s looking like it could be one of the biggest games of 2026, especially with its strong cast. IO Interactive had already announced actors like Patrick Gibson, Lennie James, and Gemma Chan, and recently revealed that musician Lenny Kravitz will play the villain, Bawma.
