007 First Light Reveals Even More Characters

IO Interactive has released a new story trailer for their upcoming James Bond game, 007 First Light, which is set to launch on May 27 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch 2, and PC. The game has been in development for six years, and this latest trailer gives fans a detailed preview of the story, characters, and exciting gameplay they can expect.

The newest trailer for 007 First Light was shown during yesterday’s big State of Play presentation, which included reveals, announcements, and updates on upcoming games. PlayStation also shared news about the PS5 exclusive Saros and confirmed that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will be added to PS Plus Extra and Premium later this month, as previously rumored. The event ended with Santa Monica Studio announcing that a remake of the original God of War trilogy is now in development, and immediately releasing God of War: Sons of Sparta for PlayStation 5.

007 First Light Gets New Trailer During State of Play

PlayStation and IO Interactive recently revealed more about the upcoming 007 game, 007 First Light, with a new trailer following the announcement of a Kena: Bridge of Spirits sequel. The short trailer offers a first look at Bond’s early days as a spy, showing his initial missions in Iceland and how his quick thinking and skills catch the eye of MI6. This leads him to join the 00 program and undergo intense training. First Light focuses on a young and inexperienced Bond, presenting a more daring version of the character as he develops into the famous 00 agent we know.

The newest trailer for 007 First Light introduces some of the supporting characters, like M, played by Priyanga Burford, and John Greenway, played by Lennie James. Greenway, a former 00 agent now training new recruits, is a very disciplined operative. His strict methods often conflict with Bond’s more spontaneous and intuitive style of working.

Despite their differences, Bond and Greenway must team up to stop 009, a former British agent who has gone rogue. This mission will be Bond’s biggest challenge yet, taking players on a global journey from the peaceful Carpathian Mountains to the dangerous underworld of Aleph. The trailer reveals Bond will meet a variety of characters along the way, including the unpredictable Bawma, played by Lenny Kravitz, and the enigmatic Charlotte Roth, portrayed by Noemie Nakai.

The recent State of Play trailer offered fans a fresh look at 007 First Light, which was delayed last year. IO Interactive previously announced the game needed extra development time to meet player expectations, shifting the release date from March 27th to May 27th. According to IO Interactive, the game is now fully playable, and these extra two months will be used to refine and polish the experience before its launch later this year.
