In Final Fantasy XIV, Player vs Player (PvP) isn’t quite as widely enjoyed as one might expect, yet the heated reactions towards the Dawntrail expansion suggest otherwise. However, I doubt that introducing a Battle Royale mode would exacerbate the situation.

5. Battlefield 2042

It’s Time For Another Try

Among all first-person shooter games globally, none resonates with me more as a prime contender for a Battle Royale remake than Battlefield. While we did experience Firestorm, a valiant attempt at the genre, I believe it’s high time to revisit this concept and take it to the next level.

Getting rid of randomly found weapons might help balance out the many snipers we see, and Battlefield has great vehicle battles.

Previously, we’ve appreciated the quality of multiplayer (PvP) in “Titanfall”. Moreover, we’ve noticed its effectiveness in adapting to the Battle Royale genre. On a personal note, I’d prefer less unique characters if it guarantees the ability to traverse the battlefield in towering robotic mechs.

What Could Top The Final Shape?

Bungie has shown they aren’t shy about experimenting with PvP gameplay. I’d be excited to witness AI opponents in a Destiny 2 Battle Royale, as the factions have become well-developed by now.
