10 Strongest Boruto Characters (Right Now)

This article contains spoilers from the Boruto series.

Naruto and Sasuke were once the most powerful ninjas in the Boruto series. But now, in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, the power rankings have shifted dramatically. With Naruto and Sasuke largely out of the picture, several other characters in Boruto have become much stronger and proven their abilities.

Currently, the most powerful characters in Boruto include cyborgs with enhancements, incredibly powerful aliens, the Tailed Beasts, and exceptionally gifted ninjas. The power dynamic has shifted – previously, the strongest were mostly elite ninjas, but now the list is much more varied and features some surprising new contenders. Here’s a look at who’s currently at the top in Boruto.

Himawari Uzumaki

Himawari Uzumaki has shown incredible growth in Boruto. In a short time, she’s developed from an ordinary child with no fighting skills into a capable ninja who can even battle against a God Tree.

Himawari isn’t just any ninja – with family connections to both the Uzumaki and Hyuga clans, she’s exceptionally gifted. Surprisingly, she has an even stronger connection with the Nine-Tailed Fox, Kurama, than Naruto does, suggesting she could eventually become even more powerful than her father.

Once she unlocked her Tailed Beast powers, she could rapidly fire powerful energy blasts and, impressively, heal both her own wounds and those of others.

Sarada Uchiha

In the latest chapter of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, Sarada Uchiha revealed a powerful and destructive ability of her Mangekyo Sharingan. Her technique, Ohirume, completely destroyed the Shinju Ryu, leaving only its core. This gravity-based ability can instantly defeat opponents, particularly if they aren’t prepared.

Now that Sarada has awakened her Ohirume powers, she’s ready to take on anything. She’s not backing down from any challenge, even when it comes to her feelings for Boruto. Above all, she’s driven to achieve her goals – protecting her friends, saving the village, and ultimately becoming Hokage.

Code

Code hasn’t been seen for a long time, but he’s still a dangerous enemy. He originally created the Shinju Clones and is responsible for them becoming self-aware.

Prior to the time jump in Boruto, Code was the most powerful enemy Boruto and Sasuke faced. His actions also played a key role in Kawaki’s decision to seal Naruto away in the Daikokuten dimension.

Code didn’t just receive Isshiki Otsutsuki’s power; he also inherited his determination. He’s completely dedicated to finishing what his master started, and that drives him to become stronger. Once Amado unlocked his full potential, Boruto and Kawaki couldn’t compete with him.

Hidari

Hidari is a powerful, tree-like being that originated from within Sasuke Uchiha, posing a serious danger to the village of Konoha. It’s specifically targeting Sarada and intends to absorb her power by utilizing Sasuke’s own abilities. Although Hidari’s initial attempt to defeat Sarada failed, it’s proven to be a formidable opponent, making it difficult for Konoha’s young ninja to stop it.

Similar to the other God Trees, Hidari can utilize the Claw Mark technique and blend it with Sasuke’s skills, including Chidori and Lightning Release. He’s also capable of using Fire Release alongside Earth, Water, and Wood Release. Most notably, Hidari possesses the Rinnegan in both eyes.

Mamushi

Mamushi is a powerful being, similar to other God Trees, created using a pre-existing pattern. He draws his power from the same source as Bug and, strangely, shares Bug’s fascination with Eida. Currently, Mamushi is attacking Konoha with an ability called Division, which lets him create perfect duplicates of himself. These aren’t just illusions – each copy is as real and powerful as the original, possessing the same energy and intent to fight.

Mamushi demonstrated his strength during his fight with Boruto at the Shinju hideout, easily overpowering him and throwing him around. Similar to other Shinju, he can create Claw Marks and completely mask his chakra, making it undetectable.

Daemon

Daemon seems like a typical mischievous kid who enjoys playing pranks. He’s playful and a bit cheeky, but don’t let that fool you. He has an incredibly powerful ability called Reflection, which lets him turn his opponents’ own powers and attacks back against them.

So far in Boruto, no one – not even Boruto or Kawaki – has been able to actually hurt Daemon. Plus, no one has figured out a way to effectively fight against his powers, making him a seemingly unbeatable opponent.

Momoshiki Otsutsuki

Momoshiki Otsutsuki continues to be a threat within Boruto Uzumaki. Even though he’s been relatively quiet since the time skip, he still possesses significant power and influences Boruto’s reluctance to use the Karma mark.

Momoshiki’s strength is now key to Boruto’s battles, especially against Jura and the God Trees. He’s a major asset in overcoming the shinju clones. If Momoshiki gains control of Boruto after fulfilling his current agreement, he’ll become an incredibly powerful threat.

Kawaki Uzumaki

Kawaki Uzumaki is Boruto’s biggest competition, as he can wield the incredible powers of Isshiki Otsutsuki without risking his own identity. Thanks to his restored Karma, he has access to a variety of powerful techniques, including those known as Daikokuten and Sukunahikona, among others.

Kawaki recently had the restrictions on his power lifted, making him incredibly strong. He’s now capable of easily defeating Jura, overcoming even the God Tree’s healing abilities, and inflicting serious damage. With further adjustments from Amado, he’s predicted to become even more powerful.

Boruto Uzumaki

Boruto Uzumaki has developed significantly throughout his journey. He’s grown incredibly quickly, even exceeding the power levels of Naruto and Sasuke after the time skip. He’s also gained access to incredibly strong abilities, including the Uzuhiko Rasengan – which draws energy from the earth – the Uchiha Style Blade Technique: Hagoromo, and the ability to fully harness the power of his Karma without losing control.

Throughout the series, several characters have played a key role in Boruto’s growth. Sasuke shared his complete skillset, covering ninjutsu, taijutsu, and swordsmanship. Kashin Koji fast-tracked Boruto’s training by revealing information about his future potential, and Momoshiki even allows Boruto to use his Otsutsuki powers to help defeat Jura.

Jura

Honestly, Jura is just incredible! As far as power levels in Boruto go, I think he’s currently the strongest character, being a direct form of the young Ten-Tails. What’s even more mind-blowing is how fast he’s growing – nobody else even comes close! But it’s not just raw power; Jura is seriously intelligent. The way he thinks on his feet and reacts to everything around him proves he’s a super quick and perceptive fighter.

Man, the fight with Jura in the Land of the Wind was something else! He was totally toying with Boruto and Kawaki, letting them think they were getting the upper hand. Even when they did manage to hit him, his regeneration was insane – he just healed right up! Honestly, watching it, I realized Boruto and Kawaki won’t be able to beat Jura on their own. They’re going to need everything they’ve got, and I mean everything – they’ll have to unlock the full power of Momoshiki Otsutsuki to even stand a chance.

Similar to the other Shinju, Jura can launch quick surprise attacks using Claw Marks. He’s also capable of levitation, firing off a rapid series of powerful Tailed Beast Bombs, and utilizing Wood Release techniques. Beyond Boruto and Kawaki, Jura has demonstrated the ability to overwhelm Code with his powers, and the other Shinju in the series appear to fear him.
