14 One Piece Characters Stronger Than Zoro And Sanji

Zoro and Sanji are key members of the One Piece crew, often considered Luffy’s right-hand men. Despite being teammates, they have a long-standing rivalry. For years, One Piece fans have argued about who is stronger, but ultimately, they are evenly matched.

As a huge One Piece fan, I’m always thinking about Zoro and Sanji – they’re absolutely vital to Luffy achieving his dream of becoming Pirate King! They’re like his wings, helping him get there. But honestly, while they’re incredibly strong now, I don’t think they’ve reached their full potential yet. They still have so much room to grow, and there are definitely characters out there who could take them on in a fight right now, even when they team up!

Boa Hancock

  • Affiliation: Kuja Pirates
  • Devil Fruit: Mero Mero No Mi
  • Haki: Armament, Observation, Conqueror’s

Boa Hancock leads the Kuja Pirates, an all-female crew of powerful warriors who all possess Haki. She’s considered one of the most formidable pirates in the world, and with Big Mom’s defeat, she’s now widely recognized as the strongest woman in the One Piece universe.

Although Zoro and Sanji are powerful fighters, they aren’t as strong as Hancock. She would easily defeat Sanji, and Zoro wouldn’t stand much of a chance either, due to Hancock’s unique Devil Fruit abilities and her stronger Haki. Considering Shakky was able to defeat members of the Roger Pirates, Hancock would easily overpower both of them.

Loki

  • Affiliation: Elbaf
  • Devil Fruit: Unknown Legendary Devil Fruit
  • Haki: Armament, Observation, Conqueror’s

Loki, often called the Accursed Prince of Elbaf, could become a member of the Straw Hat Pirates after their time on Elbaf Island. Although we haven’t seen his full power yet, it’s clear he’s currently stronger than both Zoro and Sanji. If he joins the crew, he would likely be Luffy’s most powerful subordinate, at least temporarily.

Loki possesses a remarkably powerful and mysterious Devil Fruit. While we don’t know exactly what it does, fans believe its abilities are incredibly strong. So far, only Shanks has managed to beat him.

Akainu

Akainu is now one of the most powerful figures in the Marines, currently serving as Fleet Admiral. He achieved this rank after a fierce battle with Kuzan following the timeskip. As of now, he’s strong enough to defeat fighters like Zoro and Sanji without much difficulty.

Akainu’s Devil Fruit power is incredibly destructive, likely more powerful than even Sanji’s blue flames. While Luffy’s abilities are expected to become stronger than Akainu’s later in the story, he hasn’t reached that point yet.

Monkey D. Dragon

Monkey D. Dragon is Luffy’s father and the son of the famous Marine, Garp. He’s become well-known for founding the Freedom Fighters after the battle at God Valley, an organization dedicated to opposing the World Government. To achieve his aims, Dragon has become one of the most powerful people in the world, and he certainly lives up to that reputation.

Currently, Zoro and Sanji would likely both lose in a fight against Sabo, and they definitely wouldn’t stand a chance against Dragon, who Oda is saving for a major reveal later in the story.

Monkey D. Garp

Monkey D. Garp is a renowned and powerful figure in the world of One Piece. In his prime, he was considered an equal to the Pirate King, and even now, despite his age, he remains a formidable force.

Garp demonstrated incredible strength on Pirate Island, with his powerful Conqueror’s Haki clearly visible. He nearly defeated the entire Blackbeard Pirates crew all by himself – an amazing accomplishment for someone of his age. Garp is significantly stronger than Zoro and Sanji, and likely even surpasses Luffy in power.

Rayleigh and Gaban

Rayleigh and Gaban were Gol D. Roger’s closest allies, considered his right-hand men. During their prime, they were said to be equals to Roger himself. Though they’re quite old now, they remain significantly more powerful than Zoro and Sanji, particularly in terms of Haki proficiency.

As a huge One Piece fan, it’s incredible to think about how powerful Rayleigh and Garp are! They’re truly masters of Haki, capable of overcoming even immortality and holding their own against the strongest characters like the Yonko and Admirals – and they can still do it even after their prime! Zoro and Sanji are getting stronger, of course, but they have a long way to go before they reach that legendary level.

Dracule Mihawk

  • Affiliation: Cross Guild
  • Devil Fruit: N/A
  • Haki: Armament, Observation, Conqueror’s (Implied)

Zoro and Sanji both aspire to be stronger than Mihawk, who is currently known as the world’s greatest swordsman. While they’re both working to improve, a showdown between Zoro and Mihawk seems destined to happen, but until then, Mihawk remains their superior.

As a huge fan, I’m constantly amazed by Mihawk’s swordsmanship and Haki – he’s just on another level compared to Sanji and Zoro right now! But I truly believe we’ll see both of them grow strong enough to eventually surpass him. It’s going to be incredible to watch their journey!

Monkey D. Luffy

I’m a huge One Piece fan, and it’s become super clear to me that Luffy is way ahead of Zoro and Sanji in terms of strength. Honestly, I think he could take them on together now, especially after everything that happened in Wano! The difference in their power levels has just gotten bigger and bigger.

I’ve noticed that the difference in strength between Luffy and his crew will likely shrink over time, much like it did with Roger and his two right-hand men. But even as they grow stronger, I don’t think they’ll ever surpass him. Luffy will always be the most powerful pirate among the Straw Hats, in my opinion.

Gunko

  • Devil Fruit: Aro Aro Mo Mi
  • Haki: Armament, Observation

Saint Gunko is a powerful member of the Holy Knights. When she and Shamrock arrived in Elbaf, it was clear she was an incredibly strong fighter. Shamrock even claimed Gunko is capable of defeating Loki, a Giant who was only ever beaten by the legendary pirate Shanks.

Honestly, Gunko is a serious problem! Not only is she seemingly immortal, but until Zoro and Sanji get a better handle on their Conqueror’s Haki, she could knock them out with a single hit – just like she did to four of the Straw Hats without much trouble. It’s a really tough matchup right now.

Shamrock Figarland

  • Devil Fruit: Inu Inu no Mi, Model: Cerberus (Sword)
  • Haki: Armament, Observation, Conqueror’s (Implied)

Figarland Shamrock is Shanks’ twin brother. While we haven’t seen his full capabilities yet, his connection to Shanks suggests he’s among the most powerful characters in the world of One Piece.

I’m completely blown away by Shamrock! Everyone’s saying he’s just as powerful as Shanks, and honestly, I think that means Zoro and Sanji don’t really have a shot. It’s not just his strength, but the fact that he’s immortal – they could fight all day and wouldn’t even be able to leave a mark on him!
