16 One Piece Characters Stronger Than Zoro

Roronoa Zoro is a remarkably strong character in the world of One Piece. He’s a highly skilled swordsman, famous for his Three-Sword Style, and he’s mastered all three types of Haki. Although Zoro has immense potential, he’s still growing as a fighter. Currently, many characters are significantly stronger than he is. Especially in the Final Saga, the author has introduced numerous incredibly powerful characters who clearly outmatch Zoro’s abilities.

Trafalgar D. Water Law

  • Devil Fruit: Ope Ope no Mi
  • Haki: Armament, Observation

Fans frequently debate who is stronger, Zoro or Trafalgar Law. However, currently, Law appears to have the edge. During the Wano arc, Law battled one of the Yonko (Big Mom), while Zoro fought a commander of the Yonko.

Following the events in Wano, Law earned a bounty of 3 billion berries, putting him at the level of the Yonko. His awakened Devil Fruit ability is exceptionally powerful, capable of breaking through even Big Mom’s defenses. He also possesses advanced Haki that can counter other Devil Fruit powers. With his Ope Ope no Mi, Law could potentially win a very close battle against Zoro.

Yamato

  • Devil Fruit: Inu Inu no Mi, Model: Okuchi no Makami
  • Haki: Armament, Observation, Conqueror’s

Yamato is Kaido’s child and possesses incredible strength. They’ve mastered all three types of Haki and have a powerful Mythical Zoan Devil Fruit. During the battle on Onigashima, Yamato single-handedly fought Kaido with very little damage, a feat Zoro couldn’t accomplish.

Currently, Yamato would likely win a full-on fight against Zoro, and it wouldn’t be a particularly difficult victory for her, despite what many fans might think.

The Admirals

  • Devil Fruits: Pika Pika no Mi (Kizaru), Zushi Zushi no Mi (Fujutora), Mori Mori no Mi (Ryokugyu)
  • Haki: Armament, Observation

Many One Piece fans underestimate the Admirals, but they are consistently shown to be among the most powerful fighters in the Marines.

The current Admirals – Kizaru, Fujitora, and Greenbull – are all incredibly powerful. Each one could easily defeat Zoro, even without using their full strength.

Kuzan

  • Devil Fruit: Hie Hie no Mi
  • Haki: Armament, Observation

Kuzan, also known as Aokiji, used to be an Admiral in the Marines. He quit after fighting Akainu in the Paramount War and now works with the Blackbeard Pirates. He’s considered the second-strongest member of the crew, after Blackbeard himself.

Kuzan was once almost on the level of Admiral Akainu. He isn’t someone Zoro can yet defeat.

Akainu

  • Devil Fruit: Magu Magu no Mi
  • Haki: Armament, Observation

Most One Piece fans know that Akainu is an exceptionally powerful Admiral. He’s currently the Fleet Admiral of the Marines, a position he earned through a fierce battle with Kuzan on Punk Hazard. It wasn’t an easy climb to the top for him.

Akainu hasn’t revealed everything he’s capable of, and fans expect him to play a major role as One Piece nears its end. He’s already shown incredible Haki, but his real power comes from his Devil Fruit, the Magu Magu no Mi, which lets him control magma. Right now, Zoro isn’t strong enough to beat even a standard Admiral, let alone someone as powerful as Akainu.

Sabo

  • Devil Fruit: Mera Mera no Mi
  • Haki: Armament, Observation

I’m absolutely fascinated by Sabo! He’s the Revolutionary Army’s Chief of Staff, which basically makes him second-in-command to Dragon himself – and incredibly powerful. He’s demonstrated amazing control over Haki, but what really blew me away was when he awakened the Mera Mera no Mi in Dressrosa – a Logia-type Devil Fruit! It just proves how strong he’s become.

Sabo dodging Imu and the Five Elders is a bigger feat than anything Zoro has done. While his full power is still unknown, he proved he’s incredibly strong by fighting Fujitora to a standstill during the Dressrosa arc.

Boa Hancock

  • Devil Fruit: Mero Mero no Mi
  • Haki: Armament, Observation, Conqueror’s

Many fans underestimate Boa Hancock, but she’s easily strong enough to beat Zoro. While some believe anyone can avoid her powers, only Luffy is unaffected by her ‘love beam’. Also, Hancock doesn’t even need to be attracted to someone to turn them to stone – that’s why Blackbeard stayed far away from her.

Hancock is incredibly powerful and might be able to defeat Zoro with just one blow. Even Blackbeard, a very strong pirate, was worried she could beat him in a direct fight unless he attacked her unexpectedly.

Monkey D. Dragon

Monkey D. Dragon is considered one of the most powerful characters in the world of One Piece. As the leader of the Revolutionary Army, he hasn’t fully revealed his abilities yet, but he’s expected to be as strong as, or even stronger than, the Yonko. The author, Oda, is deliberately keeping Dragon’s powers a secret, and when he finally unleashes them in the Final Saga, it will likely be a huge surprise for viewers. He’s anticipated to be far more powerful than Zoro has ever demonstrated.

Five Elders And Some Holy Knights

  • Devil Fruits: Various
  • Haki: Armament, Observation, Conqueror’s (Some)

Zoro is at a significant disadvantage against the Five Elders and Holy Knights. They are effectively immortal thanks to Imu, and can only be harmed by exceptionally powerful Conqueror’s Haki and precise control over Haki itself.

Currently, Zoro is still learning to fully control his Conqueror’s Haki. Although he’s more powerful than certain Holy Knights, he’s less powerful than others, like Shamrock, and can’t even harm them at this point. However, he’s expected to become stronger than most Holy Knights once he reaches Elbaf, and eventually, even surpass the Five Elders.

Monkey D. Luffy

Monkey D. Luffy is undoubtedly the most powerful member of the Straw Hat Pirates. Even though Zoro is incredibly strong and might reach a similar level after their final battle, Luffy will always be the stronger of the two. The series suggests Luffy is fated to become the strongest character in One Piece. Currently, he’s so powerful he could defeat Zoro with a single blow without even trying.
