A fresh partnership is being developed between the popular characters Pokemon and Squishmallows. Soon, Sprigatito and Rowlet will be added to the soft plush collection. The collaborations between Pokemon and Squishmallows have gained considerable popularity, and it’s expected that these new additions will spark similar levels of excitement.
Enthusiasts of Pokémon are spoiled for choice when selecting a cuddly toy representing their preferred pocket monsters. Beyond the conventional Pokémon plush toys, collaborations with Squishmallows and Build-a-Bear have been highly sought-after, with the plushes frequently selling out quickly. Fans of Grass-type starter Pokémon should seize this latest chance, as it’s not one to be missed.
Newest Pokemon Squishmallows Join the Growing Line-up
Jazwares recently unveiled a new video showcasing upcoming Pokémon characters joining the Squishmallows Pokémon collaboration collection. The short clip features Sprigatito, the grass-type starter from Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, as well as Rowlet, the grass/flying-type starter from Pokémon Sun and Moon, and Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Although the companies have only released static images of the plushies from the front so far, fans can get a sense of their appearance through this new video.
From what we understand so far, details about the upcoming Pokemon Squishmallows haven’t been fully disclosed yet. However, based on previous releases, here are some features fans might anticipate:
1. Variable sizes: The size of a Squishmallow influences its price, with smaller ones generally costing around $19.99 and larger ones (like the jumbo variety) priced up to about $50.
2. Availability in multiple stores: While Pokemon Center releases often feature a special Poke Ball logo embroidered on the back, signifying they’re from that retailer, general stores like Target may sell similar Squishmallows without this detail.
3. Official announcement: With an official teaser now out, fans should expect more information about these new Squishmallows and their release dates soon.
To date, the response from fans towards the new designs appears positive, with some playfully suggesting that Rowlet’s appearance hasn’t significantly altered since its initial unveiling. For those seeking a cuddly Pokémon plush toy without a particular affinity for Rowlet or Sprigatito, there are numerous alternatives to choose from. The collection kicked off in 2022 with Squishmallows featuring Pikachu and Gengar, and has since grown to encompass popular characters such as Eevee, Chansey, Dragonite, Clefairy, Piplup, and multiple variations of Pikachu. Many of these adorable plushies are currently available for purchase directly from retailers like Target, Walmart, and GameStop.
