We’re now a few weeks from the debut of Nintendo’s newest console, the Nintendo Switch 2.
Unfortunately, it seems like there’s a significant update coming right at launch, which probably means critics won’t be able to weigh in until after it hits stores. Despite this, there’s palpable enthusiasm among gamers for the long-awaited follow-up to the Nintendo Switch. However, many of us are a bit miffed about its price point.
Among the main reasons I’m eagerly anticipating the arrival of Switch 2 is its inclusion of Mario Kart World. Admittedly, the $80 price tag is a bit steep, but the prospect of purchasing the Mario Kart World Switch 2 bundle helps alleviate that burden. It’s quite likely that Mario Kart will keep me engaged throughout the summer and even into the fall. Interestingly, this could coincide with the rumored release of one of 2018’s top-rated games for Nintendo Switch 2.
Red Dead Redemption 2 Is Rumored To Be Coming To Nintendo Switch 2
It’s surprising to think that it’s already been seven years since Red Dead Redemption 2 came out, making it Rockstar’s latest game. According to reports from Gamereactor and Nintendúo, a possible Switch 2 version of Red Dead Redemption 2 could be released even before Grand Theft Auto 6.
If Rockstar’s epic Wild West game becomes part of the Switch 2’s library, it would significantly bolster the console’s third-party lineup, which currently features heavyweights like Cyberpunk 2077, the Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy, and Elden Ring.
Take-Two is assuring significant backing from external developers too. They are set to release Civilization VII and Borderlands 4 on consoles, with intentions to migrate the WWE 2K and NBA 2K series over as well.
Previously, we’ve noticed that publishers often engage in similar strategies prior to the release of a new Nintendo console, so it’s uncertain if they will actually deliver on their promises regarding support.
