Demon Slayer has been incredibly popular recently, especially with the release of its latest film, Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 1 – Akaza’s Return. As many predicted, the movie has been a massive success, breaking records and potentially becoming Japan’s biggest box office hit of all time. It’s even surpassing the earnings of *Demon Slayer*’s previous movie, Mugen Train.
Because of how incredibly popular the film has become, many fans are already calling Infinity Castle the best anime movie of 2025. That’s understandable, but a new, excellent movie, Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc, has recently been released, and it could potentially be even more impressive. Although it doesn’t have quite the same level of recognition as Demon Slayer, it may surpass it in terms of overall quality.
Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc Movie Is Finally Here
- The Movie Has Incredible Ratings
- Released in Japan on September 19, 2025
Anime fans were eagerly awaiting the release of Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 1 – Akaza’s Return this year. But it wasn’t the only highly anticipated anime movie of 2025. A few months after Infinity Castle came out, Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc was finally released in Japan. It’s only been a few days since its release on September 19, 2025, yet it’s already proving to be very popular. In fact, it dethroned Demon Slayer from its number one position at the Japanese box office, where it had been performing exceptionally well.
You’ve got it wrong, Tanjiro. I don’t hate people – I only despise those who are weak. I have no respect for weakness. It truly disgusts me. It’s simply how the world works – the weak are meant to be eliminated. It’s the natural order of things.
Even though it currently has significantly fewer fan ratings, the Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc movie is already scoring higher than Demon Slayer, which is a major sign that audiences are really enjoying it. It likely won’t match Demon Slayer in total numbers, simply because Chainsaw Man is a smaller franchise, but it could still be the higher-quality film of the two, and for that reason, many are calling it the best anime movie of 2025.
When Will Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc Release Internationally?

- International Releases Started September 24
- US Release Won’t Be Until October 29
The movie, Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc, is currently available in Japan, but hasn’t been released worldwide yet. It’s common for anime films to premiere in Japan before other countries. For example, with Demon Slayer, fans in Asia had to wait a month for the release, and the rest of the world waited two months. Luckily, it looks like the wait for Chainsaw Man will be much shorter.
The international rollout of the Reze movie has begun, with Hong Kong among the first to receive it on September 24, 2025. Other Asian countries followed closely behind on September 25 and 26. This is a much quicker release than the month-long wait fans experienced for Demon Slayer. However, viewers in Europe and North America will have to wait a little longer. France will be the first European country to get the movie on October 22nd, and the USA will follow just a few days later, on October 29, 2025. Despite the wait, it’s expected to be well worth it.
To calm the souls of those I defeat, and to prevent more deaths, I will strike down any demon without hesitation! However, I won’t scorn those who feel remorse and are tormented by their past deeds as demons. This is because demons were once people. They were, after all, just like me.
Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle is now playing in cinemas. If you can’t wait for the film, you can read the manga on Manga Plus. As for the animated series, there are currently 4 seasons available to watch on Crunchyroll. The rest of the story will be continued as movies, so fans will need to see them in theaters when they are released in their country.
