2025 marks a changing year for Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump. The end of two incredibly popular series, My Hero Academia and Jujutsu Kaisen, has created a gap in the magazine’s lineup. With other series like Sakamoto Days also concluding, the need for fresh content is clear. Fortunately, Weekly Shonen Jump seems to have found a promising new hit in Kagurabachi.

The manga series Kagurabachi is becoming very popular in Weekly Shonen Jump, but it will be taking a short, unexpected break. The reason for the pause isn’t known, but it’s scheduled to return in one week.

Kagurabachi is a popular manga in Weekly Shonen Jump, nearing its 100th chapter. Readers are loving the series and are eagerly awaiting the upcoming anime adaptation.

Despite the current popularity of the manga Kagurabachi, its creator, Takeru Hokazono, has unexpectedly announced a break, which has understandably concerned fans.

The official Kagurabachi X account acknowledged the pause in releases, but the exact reason is still unknown. They cited “production circumstances” as the main issue, which likely means the creator, Takeru Hokazono, was overworked. He’s been particularly busy lately, especially with the recent collaboration with Kohei Horikoshi on My Hero Academia, as well as other projects.

Kagurabachi will be taking a short break from publication in Weekly Shonen Jump. The next chapter, originally planned for the October 27th issue, will now appear in the November 4th issue. We appreciate your patience.

I was a little worried when Kagurabachi went on break, but the good news is it won’t be for long! The official Kagurabachi X account just announced the return date, which is a huge relief!

I just heard that chapter 99 of Kagurabachi is going to be delayed. It was originally scheduled to come out on October 26th on Manga Plus, and a day later in Japan. Now, it looks like we’ll have to wait until November 2, 2025, to read it on Manga Plus.

The Kagurabachi manga is currently paused, but you can read it on the Manga Plus app. Chapter 99 is expected to be released around November 3, 2025, in Japan, and a day earlier—November 2—on Manga Plus.
