Fresh leaks offer tantalizing glimpses into the details of some of the long-awaited Mega Evolutions featured in Pokemon Legends: Z-A. Since the debut of Mega Evolutions in Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire way back in 2014, we haven’t seen any new ones. However, the much-anticipated Pokemon Legends: Z-A is set to revive this mechanic with a bang. For those not familiar, Mega Evolutions are temporary, yet potent transformations that certain Pokemon can undergo when exposed to a specific item during combat.
As a dedicated Pokémon enthusiast, I can hardly contain my enthusiasm over the news that Mega Evolutions are making a comeback in Pokémon Legends: Z-A! With numerous Pokémon still waiting for their own Mega Evolution, this announcement has left me thrilled. The whispers about Pokémon Legends: Z-A suggest that an impressive 27 new Mega Evolutions will be unveiled, and it’s rumored that four of them are destined for the Gen 1 starfish creature Starmie, along with the three starters from Pokémon X and Y – Chesnaught, Delphox, and Greninja.
Centro Leaks, a leaker and Twitter user, recently disclosed additional information about the rumored Mega Evolutions for the game Pokemon Legends: Z-A. These details were apparently obtained from unconfirmed sources on 4chan this month. For now, fans should approach these revelations with caution, as they allege that Mega Starmie will maintain its Water/Psychic type and grow larger with longer legs to traverse dry land. Moreover, Mega Chesnaught is said to wear a crown and display orange shields and other distinctive features.
Pokemon Legends: Z-A Leaks Details for Mega Starmie and X and Y Starter Evolutions
In a new twist, Mega Delphox is expected to balance on its broom and float, whereas Mega Greninja is said to be a deeper shade and cling inverted from a massive shuriken. Prior to their announcement in Pokemon Legends: Z-A, enthusiasts had envisioned their own imagined Mega Evolutions for Starmie and the Generation 6 starters, as well as several other Pokemon that didn’t receive one in either Pokemon X and Y or the remakes of Ruby and Sapphire.
It remains to be seen if the leaked Mega Evolutions for Pokemon Legends: Z-A will indeed be part of the game, and whether they’ll resemble the designs fan artists have envisioned. With only 46 official Mega Evolutions currently in existence, and claims that Pokemon Legends: Z-A might introduce an additional 27, there are numerous possibilities for this spin-off to present fresh twists on familiar Pokemon characters. At the moment, the exact release date for Pokemon Legends: Z-A is unconfirmed, but Nintendo has stated that it will be launched for the original Nintendo Switch at a later date in 2025.
