2XKO Character Tier List: Ranking All Playable Champions

The highly anticipated fighting game, formerly known as “Project L,” is now available to play! Now called 2XKO, you can download it today through the Riot Games launcher and jump into Early Access.

Before you start playing, you might be curious about which champions from League of Legends are the most popular in online matches. Or maybe you’re trying to decide which character to unlock next, or just want to see how well your preferred champion is doing compared to others.

I’ve created a ranking of all the characters you can play in 2XKO, detailing what each one does well and where they struggle. Even the characters ranked lowest can still be effective in a match.

Keep in mind that 2XKO is still in development as an Early Access game. Expect significant changes to how characters perform as testing continues, and new additions could really shake up the best choices.

This ranking of champions prioritizes those who can both effectively assist their team and independently win games. Champions who can reliably carry a team on their own are generally ranked higher than those who primarily function as support players.

11. Braum

The Heart of the Freljord

Similar to his role in the original game’s bottom lane, Braum is an excellent support champion for any quick-kill combination (2XKO).

He’s a strong supporter who can reliably help secure kills, and his durability – boosted by his shield – gives your main damage dealer breathing room to get back in the fight.

While he can deal a lot of damage, depending on him to carry your team is risky. He’s slow and his attacks take time to launch, making it difficult to actually hit opponents.

Considering his large size makes him an easy target for characters who excel at close-range attacks, it’s clear why some players consider Braum to be the least effective character in 2XKO’s roster.

10. Blitzcrank

The Great Steam Golem

Similar to Braum, Blitzcrank isn’t very strong when playing alone and can have trouble making an impact on his own. However, his ability to help teammates is one of the best in the game, creating opportunities for powerful plays and letting you dominate team fights.

Braum is decent when played solo, but he becomes significantly stronger with a Blitzcrank on his team, boosting him from being one of the weakest champions to a comfortably viable pick.

It’s still best to avoid playing Blitzcrank by himself or as your team’s main damage dealer, as he struggles in those positions even more than Braum does.

9. Jinx

The Loose Canon

Jinx is a character in 2XKO who excels at controlling the battlefield from a distance. She uses a combination of long-range attacks and cleverly placed traps to dictate where opponents move.

Similar to how she plays in League of Legends, this version of Jinx needs a lot of help from teammates to stay safe. Aggressive opponents who quickly close the distance can easily exploit her slow start-up times. Also, abilities that block or deflect projectiles are very effective against her, and there are already quite a few of those in the game.

Okay, so as a Jinx main, let me tell you, she needs a good support. Champions like Braum and Blitzcrank? They’re basically only useful as supports, right? Jinx is totally the other way around – she’s a damage dealer who really relies on having a strong support by her side to actually succeed.

8. Vi

The Piltover Enforcer

Vi is a highly mobile fighter in 2XKO, known for her ability to quickly close the distance and aggressively engage opponents. Her quick dashes allow her to consistently get up close and maintain pressure throughout a fight.

As a player, I’m really impressed with how quickly she can string attacks together – it’s honestly one of the best combos in the game! It lets her really capitalize after she gets in close to her opponent.

Vi struggles in 2XKO because the game heavily features aerial combat, and she lacks the abilities to effectively fight in the air. She excels at ground-based fighting, but her attacks while airborne are quite weak compared to other characters.

As a fan, I’ve noticed that if she struggles to get in close, her reliance on being up close and personal can really hurt her. Characters who can keep their distance and attack from afar can easily take advantage of that!

7. Darius

The Hand of Noxus

Darius is an easy champion to learn and play, dealing a lot of damage with straightforward attacks. He can quickly close the distance to enemies with his Apprehend ability, making it easy to follow up with strong combos.

He’s also skilled at controlling the air, with several attacks that can knock opponents out of the sky and force them back down to the ground.

Darius doesn’t have the slowest attacks in the game, but skilled players can still take advantage of their relatively slow speed using advanced techniques and confident timing.

Darius is a decent champion, but he’s intentionally easier to master than some others. This makes him a good choice for the middle of this ranking.

6. Warwick

The Uncaged Wrath of Zaun

Okay, so playing against Warwick is tough because, like Vi, he’s amazing at getting right on top of you. He can quickly close the distance and then just relentlessly attack up close – his attacks are super fast, so you really feel the pressure!

Warwick differs from Vi by being able to dominate the skies. He has multiple attacks that work both in the air and against airborne enemies, giving him an advantage in situations where Vi finds it difficult.

Warwick is a well-rounded and powerful champion thanks to his Bloodlust ability. This buff increases with each hit, unlocking new attacks, special moves, and even allowing him to heal himself, making him a strong pick who can compete with the best.

If you’re choosing between Vi and Warwick to fill the role of a jungler who excels at quickly joining team fights, Warwick is likely a more effective use of your resources.

5. Illaoi

The Kraken Priestess

Illaoi can deal significant damage with relatively simple combos, though she takes a little effort to learn how to use effectively with her tentacles.

Plus, she can attack from a considerable distance thanks to her tentacles, and she’s able to trap opponents if they aren’t paying attention.

Beyond her already impressive strength, Illaoi’s abilities also powerfully disrupt enemies, launching them into the air or slamming them to the ground. These effects work well with her tentacles, making her feel impactful even when she’s not actively being played.

4. Teemo

The Swift Scout

Like Jinx, Teemo excels at keeping enemies at a distance with attacks that are especially effective against melee fighters or opponents who overextend.

Okay, so Teemo is seriously annoying to play against. He’s got all these ways to control the battlefield with his mushrooms and stuff, plus a bunch of escapes. If someone really knows how to play him, good luck pinning him down – he’s slippery!

Teemo’s signature tricks – like becoming invisible, setting mushroom traps, and shooting poisonous darts – have become common challenges in 2XKO, just as they are in League of Legends.

Teemo is a tricky opponent who can quickly hide in bushes, set them ablaze, and throw poisonous mushrooms long distances. He’s surprisingly effective in the air too, so don’t underestimate him!

3. Ahri

The Nine-Tailed Fox

Ahri excels at quickly closing the gap and aggressively fighting opponents. She’s highly mobile, allowing her to easily start or end fights, and she can effectively battle at close, medium, and long ranges.

She’s very difficult to pin down thanks to her quick dash, and skilled players can make her seem unstoppable against other champions on this list, leaving opponents with no clear way to counter her.

Ahri is often the first champion new players try in 2XKO’s tutorial, but she’s surprisingly challenging to become truly skilled with. Her complex combos demand precise timing and aren’t always as satisfying to learn compared to other champions.

2. Yasuo

The Unforgiven

The final two characters on this list are very close in skill, but Yasuo is just slightly behind the top spot. He’s a highly skilled fighter who attacks quickly and powerfully, and can chain together long sequences of attacks to deal a lot of damage.

Yasuo has a surprisingly long reach with his sword, making it incredibly difficult to fight against a skilled player – it can be a real struggle!

He’s consistently close to being the best, but his high skill ceiling holds him back – it takes a lot of practice to play him well. Plus, his supportive capabilities aren’t very strong, meaning he really shines when he’s directly getting kills, making him a strong carry champion.
