In the anime and manga series Jujutsu Kaisen, Domain Expansions represent the highest level of a sorcerer’s power. They’re essentially an ultimate barrier technique, created by reinforcing a sorcerer’s innate abilities. Once mastered, a Domain Expansion significantly boosts a user’s strength and grants them a guaranteed-hit attack that deals massive damage. Throughout the series, the author, Gege Akutami, has showcased many powerful Domain Expansions, but they aren’t all equal. Some are far more destructive than others, capable of instantly defeating opponents.

3. Sukuna’s Malevolent Shrine Is Almost Impossible To Counter

The Strongest Open-Barrier Domain

Ryomen Sukuna had a powerful cursed technique called the Shrine, and his Domain Expansion, Malevolent Shrine, was incredibly dangerous. Unlike Gojo’s domain, Malevolent Shrine was straightforward: it unleashed a barrage of slicing attacks—both Cleaves and Dismantles—on everything within a large area, living or not. Unusually, Malevolent Shrine didn’t create a sealed barrier. Instead, it allowed targets to escape, but significantly increased the overall range of the attack.

Sukuna’s Malevolent Shrine is incredibly destructive at full strength. Unlike some domains, like Gojo Satoru’s Unlimited Void, it’s an open space, making it easier to attack opponents even if their defenses are up. Most sorcerers wouldn’t survive a single hit from it, and so far, only Gojo and Mahoraga have managed to withstand its power.

2. Gojo’s Unlimited Void Is The Ultimate One-Hit KO

The Strongest Overall Domain

Gojo Satoru’s Unlimited Void is widely considered the most powerful Domain Expansion in Jujutsu Kaisen. It’s based on Gojo’s Limitless Cursed Technique and requires his unique Six Eyes ability to function effectively – Limitless is unusable without them. Gojo developed this Domain Expansion after mastering Cursed Technique Reversal and perfected it over time. Essentially, Unlimited Void overwhelms an opponent’s brain with an endless flood of information – everything in the universe, in fact – at a speed they can’t process. This instantly paralyzes and incapacitates the target, leaving them completely helpless.

Sukuna’s Domain Expansion was incredibly powerful – even a brief touch of it, for less than ten seconds, disrupted his cursed energy and destroyed his domain. During their battle in Shinjuku, Gojo lost their domain clash because Sukuna’s domain could directly attack Gojo from the outside. Despite this, the story confirms Gojo’s Unlimited Void is a much stronger technique, making it the most formidable Domain Expansion in Jujutsu Kaisen.

1. Dabura’s Reverse Transcendence Is The New Strongest Domain

The Ultimate Overpowered Domain

While Gojo and Sukuna were incredibly powerful in the past, currently, Dabura Karaba’s Domain Expansion, called Reverse Transcendence, is considered the strongest. We haven’t seen exactly how it works, but Dabura developed it during a fight with Mahoraga. He studied the barriers surrounding the Naunax spaceship, figured out how Domain Expansion functions, and then combined that knowledge with his own cursed technique. As the name suggests, Reverse Transcendence lets Dabura blend light and darkness, resulting in a unique and powerful ability.

We still don’t know the specifics of his abilities, but his cursed technique, Light, and its opposite, Darkness, are incredibly powerful. Combining them could create a technique even more devastating than anything we’ve seen so far in Jujutsu Kaisen, potentially stronger than even Unlimited Void or Malevolent Shrine.
