While My Hero Academia mainly focuses on the conflict between heroes and villains, romance has never been a central theme. Despite being a long-running series with over 400 chapters, there aren’t many officially established couples, and even those pairings aren’t always satisfying. Still, the author has confirmed a few interesting relationships over time. Many fans would love to see more romantic storylines, even if they just involve supporting characters.

Izuku Midoriya And Ochaco Uraraka

Many fans predicted that Izuku Midoriya and Ochaco Uraraka would become a couple in My Hero Academia, and the series hinted at their connection from the start. Despite this, the pairing has been surprisingly divisive among fans. Initially, the author, Kohei Horikoshi, was hesitant to officially confirm their relationship. Yo Shindo and Tatami Nakagame haven’t played a large role in the My Hero Academia story so far, and they don’t appear often. However, it’s now officially confirmed that they are a couple, making them one of the most interesting pairings in the series. Both characters attended Ketsubutsu Academy High School with the goal of becoming Pro Heroes.

Fans have noticed a strong connection between these two characters ever since they first appeared together during the Provisional Hero License Exam Arc, making their romantic relationship feel natural. Hints of their closeness were apparent even early on, and it was officially confirmed in the Ultra Age fanbook.

Shihai Kuroiro and Kinoko Komori

Shihai Kuroiro and Kinoko Komori are a popular pairing among fans, though they don’t get much screen time. These UA High School students, both from Class 1-B, developed feelings for each other as classmates and eventually became a couple. Hints of their relationship appeared as early as the Joint Training Battle, and many viewers hope to see more of them together if the My Hero Academia series continues.
