This article contains spoilers from Boruto: Two Blue Vortex.
The Boruto series is currently delivering a thrilling experience, thanks to Kishimoto and Ikemoto introducing incredibly powerful characters early on. While the first part of Boruto featured strong characters, this new arc is taking their power levels to a whole new level.
Many fans agree that Boruto: Two Blue Vortex features some of the most powerful characters in the entire Naruto franchise. A lot of these powerhouses are from the newer generation, and surprisingly, they’re currently stronger than Naruto Uzumaki himself.
Sarada Uchiha
Sasuke’s Very Own Daughter
Sarada is a central character in the Boruto series, and she’s become a major focus in the recent ‘Two Blue Vortex’ arc after being somewhat overlooked earlier on. This new arc has given Sarada Uchiha some fantastic battles, most notably against Ryu in the Land of Wind, where she finally had a chance to test her skills. Sarada has now unlocked her Mangekyo Sharingan, and her gravity-based technique, Ohirume, makes her exceptionally powerful. Currently, Sarada Uchiha is demonstrably stronger than the current version of Naruto Uzumaki.
Himawari Uzumaki
Naruto’s Daughter And Kurama’s Inheritor
Fans are really enjoying Himawari Uzumaki, Naruto’s daughter, in the Boruto: Two Blue Vortex storyline. While she wasn’t a major character earlier in the series, she’s now a key player. Most notably, Himawari has gained access to the power of Kurama, the same power Naruto once held. This allows her to fight powerful enemies like Jura, withstand serious injuries, and even heal others. Currently, she’s capable of things her father can’t do.
Kawaki
The Wielder Of Isshiki’s Karma
Currently, Kawaki is one of the strongest characters in the Boruto series. He received the powerful Karma mark from Isshiki Otsutsuki, and has since fully learned to control it. Thanks to modifications by Amado, Kawaki’s abilities are now incredibly dangerous, even allowing him to overpower Jura in battle. As things stand, Kawaki is stronger than Naruto.
Boruto Uzumaki
The Wielder Of Momoshiki’s Karma
Boruto Uzumaki is a key character in the current storyline, as the main protagonist. He dedicated himself to intense training during the time skip, mastering many Uchiha techniques under Sasuke’s guidance. Later, Kashin Koji taught him unique abilities developed across different timelines. Currently, Boruto’s power rivals Kawaki’s, and he’s demonstrably stronger than his father, Naruto, was at the same age.
The Shinju
Newborn Ten-Tails
Although many fans don’t think of them as new characters, the Shinju are actually very young – essentially newborns. In a way, they represent a new generation in the Boruto series, but as antagonists. The Shinju came into being after the Ten-Tails developed consciousness through Code’s experiment with the Claw Marks.
I’ve been watching the Claw Grimes, and it’s fascinating how their pursuit of what they wanted evolved into something much bigger. They started feeding on humans, and from their chakra, these incredible beings called the Shinju – or God Tree humans – were born. Honestly, they’ve become some of the most powerful characters in the story, and fans, myself included, are eager to see what they’ll do next. As things stand now, Naruto wouldn’t stand a chance against them.
The next chapter of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, chapter 28, will be released on November 20, 2025, at 10 AM EST (3 PM UTC). Fans can read it for free on the Manga Plus and Shonen Jump apps.
