5 Sorcerers With Gojo-Level Potential In Jujutsu Kaisen

Gojo Satoru was incredibly powerful, easily one of the strongest sorcerers in the world of JJK. He was a formidable fighter, with only Ryomen Sukuna, the King of Curses, considered his equal. Gojo’s mastery of the Limitless Cursed Technique, combined with his Six Eyes, made him virtually invincible.

I’ve always seen Gojo as naturally gifted – a true genius from the start. But it wasn’t just handed to him; he pushed himself incredibly hard to unlock his full potential. He really was a perfect mix of innate talent and relentless effort. That being said, when you look at the world of JJK, it’s clear he was exceptionally gifted. Still, there are a handful of characters who seem to possess a similar level of raw potential, and who, at their peak, might be able to reach a comparable level of strength.

Megumi Fushiguro

The User Of The Ten Shadows Technique

I’m a huge fan of Megumi in Jujutsu Kaisen! He and Yuji Itadori always had this cool rivalry, but what really struck me was how much Gojo believed in him. Gojo actually thought Megumi, with his amazing Ten Shadows Technique, had the potential to become as powerful as he was, which is saying something! It’s clear Gojo saw something truly special in Megumi.

Gojo hinted that Megumi has the potential to become as powerful as him, recalling a past conflict where the heads of the Zenin and Gojo families—both incredibly strong sorcerers with unique abilities—killed each other. Gojo’s point was that Megumi could reach that same level of strength. Despite being sidelined for much of the story, the time Megumi spent with Sukuna inhabiting his body likely gave him valuable combat experience. He may also be able to use the Shrine cursed technique, similar to how Yuji did. Furthermore, Megumi’s mastery of the 10 Shadows Technique has likely improved significantly, potentially making him one of the strongest sorcerers currently alive.

Hiromi Higuruma

Hiromi Higuruma is a remarkably gifted individual. Even though he only had cursed energy for about two months, he quickly became incredibly powerful. He was one of the players awakened by Kenjaku, gaining a Cursed Technique as a result. During the Culling Game, Higuruma rapidly developed many abilities, and impressively, he even figured out how to create a Domain Expansion despite being new to cursed energy – a testament to his extraordinary intelligence.

Higuruma was a dangerous opponent thanks to his incredibly powerful cursed technique, which could defeat most enemies in a single hit. Beyond that, he quickly learned to use both Reverse Cursed Technique and Domain Amplification simply by observing Sukuna – a feat that put his natural talent on par with Gojo. Given time to develop, Higuruma has the potential to become just as strong as Gojo.

Fumihiko Takaba

The Wielder Of The Most Dangerous Cursed Technique

Fumuhiko Takaba’s Cursed Technique is arguably the most powerful and dangerous in Jujutsu Kaisen. Some believe it could even match Gojo’s abilities, as anything he finds amusing can become real. He can approach fights in incredibly creative and unpredictable ways, and if he fully masters his technique, he’d become an unmatched sorcerer, surpassing even Gojo. With complete control, he could potentially heal without cursed energy, alter reality, pause time like a video game, or even restart events.

Yuta Okkotsu

The User Of The Copy Technique And Rika

Yuta Okkotsu is considered a likely successor to Gojo, with the potential to reach similar power levels. He’s incredibly strong, particularly with the help of Rika. In fact, Yuta already has more cursed energy than Gojo, but his abilities don’t stop there. He also has a much darker presence and exceptional control over his cursed energy.

Yuta’s unique ability, called Copy, lets him use a wide range of powerful techniques, and he proved incredibly tough in his fight against Sukuna. Had Megumi sided with the sorcerers from the start, Yuta’s perfect strategy could have defeated Sukuna much earlier. Yuta fought exceptionally well, even using advanced techniques like Shrine and taking control of Gojo’s body. This experience within Gojo’s body has likely made him even stronger, placing him above the average Special Grade sorcerer.

Yuji Itadori

The User Of Shrine And Blood Manipulation

Yuji Itadori, the main character, has the potential to become as powerful as Gojo, a top-tier sorcerer. The author has confirmed that Yuji possesses the same raw potential as Sukuna, a tremendously strong cursed spirit. While Yuji hadn’t reached his full strength by the end of the original series, it’s clear his power continued to develop. Before the events of JJK Modulo, he likely matured fully and reached a level comparable to Gojo and Sukuna. Because he shares the same cursed technique as Sukuna, it’s probable that at his peak, Yuji would have been virtually unstoppable.
