6 New Sorcerers Stronger Than Yuji In JJK Season 3

This article contains spoilers from the Jujutsu Kaisen manga.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 is kicking off the winter anime season in 2026 with its adaptation of the Culling Games story arc. The first few episodes have already impressed viewers, delivering both a fast-paced, spoiler-filled opening and a shocking turn of events involving Yuji Itadori’s death and subsequent revival. Despite all this action, the season is only just beginning for Jujutsu Kaisen.

Yuji Itadori doesn’t get a break in the third season of Jujutsu Kaisen. Before the Culling Games even start, he’s going to face much more powerful sorcerers. Without Sukuna’s assistance, Yuji simply isn’t strong enough to win against them on his own.

This article refers to JJK Season 3 Yuji Itadori, not his end-of-series version.

Yuta Okkotsu

The first episode of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 brings back Yuta Okkotsu, who is tasked with executing Yuji Itadori. As seen in the episode, Yuta quickly killed Yuji, only to immediately revive him.

Yuta was amazed by Yuji’s speed and fighting skills – Yuji had even managed to damage his sword. However, Yuta clearly won the fight, especially with Rika supporting him. Yuta Okkotsu is a highly respected sorcerer in the Jujutsu Kaisen world, and even Gojo thinks he has the potential to become stronger than him. Gojo recognizes Yuta’s incredible cursed energy and his ability to quickly adjust his strategies during a fight. Having Rika as an ally makes Yuta even more powerful.

Yuji would have a very tough time in a one-on-one fight against Yuta. Yuta is strong enough to defeat Yuji even without using his special ability, and just being near Yuta is frightening for Yuji, highlighting the significant difference in their power levels right now.

Yuki Tsukumo

Yuki Tsukumo is an incredibly powerful jujutsu sorcerer, classified as special grade – a ranking shared by only a few elite individuals like Gojo Satoru, Yuta Okkotsu, and Suguru Geto. This puts her skill level above most others, even Yuji, and firmly establishes her as one of the strongest sorcerers.

Currently, Yuji isn’t as strong as she is and has a significant gap in both stats and battle experience. Interestingly, she once trained Aoi Todo, who then taught Yuji the Black Flash technique during the Goodwill Event. Based on what we’ve seen, it’s likely she possesses the power to destroy an entire planet if she chose to.

Kinji Hakari

Kinji Hakari likes to show off by overpowering Yuji Itadori. Before Yuji grew incredibly strong, Kinji enjoyed thoroughly defeating him, a moment he savored before their paths diverged during the Culling Games.

Although Kinji and Yuji both attend Jujutsu High, they don’t have a strong friendship. Their relationship got off to a rocky start because Yuji didn’t impress Kinji, who is enthusiastic and self-assured, with what he saw as a bland personality and overly optimistic worldview.

Kinji immediately started overpowering Yuji with strong punches during their fight. His cursed energy is unusually coarse, making each hit feel to Yuji like being struck by a baseball bat covered in blades.

Gojo and Yuta both think highly of Kinji, often praising his abilities and potential even though he can be difficult to deal with. It’s clear that if he’d truly focused during his fight with Yuji, he likely would have won easily.

Hiromi Higuruma

Hiromi Higuruma is developing incredibly quickly in Jujutsu Kaisen, quickly becoming a standout talent. He’s mastered advanced techniques like Domain Expansion, Domain Amplification, and the Reverse Cursed Technique in a surprisingly short time – skills that even Yuji Itadori finds difficult to fully control.

Fans are divided on whether Yuji could have won his fight against Higuruma in the Culling Games. Some think Yuji wasn’t fighting at his full potential and could have won if he had been. Others believe Higuruma was the stronger fighter. Higuruma’s powerful Domain Expansion and fighting skills put Yuji on the defensive and left him unable to use his cursed energy effectively. Plus, Higuruma’s Executioner Sword is instantly fatal to anyone it hits, making him an incredibly dangerous opponent.

Hajime Kashimo

Hajime Kashimo is undeniably one of the most powerful ancient sorcerers participating in the Culling Game. Known as the God of Lightning, he’s a formidable opponent who can only be matched by other top-level sorcerers. It’s not surprising that he quickly achieved a kill count of 40 in a short period of time.

Although Kashimo and Yuji never actually fought, many fans think their battle would have been incredibly exciting. Most believe Kashimo would have won, as Yuji hasn’t mastered key techniques like Domain Expansion and Reverse Cursed Technique yet. However, if Yuji were to reach his full potential by the end of the series, a fight between them would likely have a different outcome.

Yorozu

Yorozu, Sukuna’s biggest admirer, enters the Culling Game with a singular, desperate mission: to kill the man she loves. She believes that by forcing a fight, she can make Sukuna understand the true meaning of love – a lesson she hopes to teach him through battle.

Yorozu might look harmless, but she’s an incredibly powerful sorcerer. Similar to Kashimo, she’s been around for a long time and has a difficult-to-handle, but extremely strong, cursed technique. It’s likely Yuji will struggle to beat her in season 3 if she quickly creates her Perfect Sphere. The outcome of their fight will depend heavily on her initial approach, as both smart planning and precise timing will be key to winning.
