60FPS Updates Now Available For 3 Classic Far Cry Games

A recent update on January 21st has unlocked a smooth 60 frames per second experience for three beloved Far Cry titles.

So, I saw a trailer a while back showing Far Cry 3 running super smooth at 60FPS, and the developers hinted they were working on the same thing for Primal and Blood Dragon. Well, awesome news! Ubisoft just announced that all three games – Far Cry 3, Primal, and Blood Dragon – now have 60FPS updates available on all the current consoles. It’s gonna be a lot smoother playing those classics now!

You can get all three Far Cry games at a big discount on the PlayStation Store until February 4th. Far Cry 3 and Far Cry Primal (Apex Edition) are both 75% off, and Far Cry Blood Dragon is 60% off.

Good news for Far Cry fans! Far Cry 3, Blood Dragon, and Primal are now playable at a smoother 60 frames per second on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, and Xbox Series X|S, thanks to free updates released today. Whether you’re exploring the Rook Islands, a futuristic 2007, or the Stone Age, these updates will make the games look and play even better.

You can buy all three games, or play them through a subscription service: Ubisoft+ on PC, Ubisoft+ Premium or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate on Xbox, or PlayStation Plus Premium or Extra on PlayStation.

Major Changes Coming to Ubisoft Outside of Far Cry

Although Ubisoft shared some good news on January 21st, the company is also going through significant changes, including layoffs, as part of a large-scale restructuring.

I was really bummed to hear they’ve officially canceled the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake. It’s a shame, but things change, I guess. On a brighter note, it sounds like they’re expanding the Far Cry universe beyond games – a TV series is apparently in the works over at FX, which is pretty cool! You can find more details about the Prince of Persia cancellation here.

Now you can enjoy these classic games with a smoother 60 frames per second! We’d love to hear your thoughts on this update and what you hope to see from the franchise and Ubisoft in the future.
