The Shinjuku Showdown arc of Jujutsu Kaisen would be perfect for a movie release. As the final arc of the series, it kicks off with the epic battle between Gojo and Sukuna. This arc is packed with thrilling action and features some of the best fights in recent shonen anime. The Gojo versus Sukuna fight is already legendary in the manga, and seeing it on the big screen would make it truly unforgettable.
The upcoming arc, focusing on a raid against Sukuna, could be developed into a separate movie. Given how incredible the final war arc already is, seeing it conclude on the big screen would be a fantastic experience for fans.
4. Chimera Ant Arc
- Anime: Hunter x Hunter
Hunter x Hunter is known for its amazing story arcs, which isn’t surprising considering how highly regarded the anime is. Many fans consider the Chimera Ant arc to be the series’ best, and believe it’s epic enough to be shown in theaters as a standalone movie.
The Chimera Ant arc in the Hunter x Hunter anime is good, but it doesn’t quite live up to the manga version. The pacing feels a little off, and the animation isn’t particularly impressive. Releasing it as a movie – or a series of movies, similar to Infinity Castle – would significantly improve the animation quality and make the fight scenes even more impactful. This would also allow for a tighter, more focused story, potentially making it one of the greatest anime arcs ever.
3. Chunin Exams Arc

Naruto is a classic action series, so it’s no surprise it has many fantastic story arcs. Like the Pain Assault arc, the Chunin Exam arc would make a great anime movie. This arc was groundbreaking and really drew fans into the series initially. However, because it originally aired about twenty years ago, it feels quite dated now.
The Chunin Exams storyline from Naruto would be ideal for a new anime movie series. Breaking it down into multiple films, each focusing on a different stage of the exams, would amplify the excitement and allow for truly spectacular recreations of classic battles. This approach would also breathe new life into the Naruto franchise, which could benefit from a fresh take. Imagine the arc’s best moments, like Infinity Castle, being brought to life on the big screen – it would be incredible!
2. Farmland Arc
- Anime: Vinland Saga
The Farmland Arc in Vinland Saga is a standout, and Wit Studio’s adaptation is truly excellent. It works wonderfully as an anime series, but its quality is high enough that it could easily be adapted into a movie, much like Chainsaw Man’s Reze Arc. Considered one of the best arcs in the entire series, it explores complex and challenging themes, and significantly develops Thorfinn’s character, showcasing his growth over the course of the story.
As a fan, I think it would be amazing to see this story get a proper theatrical release. It really feels like it could raise the bar for Seinen anime, especially when it comes to the quality of animation and how it’s made. It would be a truly special experience for everyone involved.

- Anime: One Piece
The Marineford Arc in One Piece is often called one of the greatest anime arcs ever created, and it significantly boosted the popularity of Eiichiro Oda’s series. The arc centers around Luffy and his friends storming the Marine Headquarters to try and save Ace, sparking a massive war. From the very beginning, it was a historic event, filled with incredible chaos and powerful emotions that still resonate with fans more than ten years later.
The Marineford arc was a highlight of the anime, though it wasn’t the most polished, especially considering the animation quality of One Piece at the time. If it were to be re-released in theaters, it would likely be even more appreciated and impactful.
