As a seasoned survivor of the post-apocalyptic wasteland that is 7 Days to Die, I’ve had my fair share of vehicular adventures, from the humble bicycle to the mighty Gyrocopter. Each vehicle has its own charm and quirks, but for me, there’s no denying the allure of the trusty motorcycle.
In the game of “7 Days To Die”, vehicles significantly contribute to traversing various terrains. Regardless if the player explores a predefined map or one that’s randomly generated, they’ll find it essential to utilize vehicles for moving around. Every map is expansive in size.
If the player goes everywhere on foot, then it will take considerably longer to complete missions. Also, each vehicle comes with some extra storage slots that make looting POIs much more profitable. While each vehicle has its place in the game, there is one vehicle that is better overall. This guide will go over each of the game’s vehicles and take a look at which one is best.
A Look At Each Vehicle
To construct various vehicles in the game, players must accumulate knowledge by reading Vehicle Adventure publications. Each vehicle demands a unique number of these magazines, so players should read a combined total of 100 Vehicle Adventure magazines to craft every single vehicle within the game. The specific requirements for each vehicle are outlined below:
- Bicycle: 5 Vehicle Adventure Magazines
- Minibike: 20 Vehicle Adventure Magazines
- Motorcycle: 45 Vehicle Adventure Magazines
- 4×4: 70 Vehicle Adventure Magazines
- Gyrocopter: 100 Vehicle Adventure Magazines
In nearly all game treasure chests, you’ll discover Vehicle Adventure Magazines. Yet, for a higher probability of finding them, it’s recommended to explore mailboxes, Crack A Book shops, scattered books, and Pas N Gas boxes.
The Bicycle
In the game, the bicycle is typically the first mode of transport a player acquires. You can manufacture bikes yourself, but you’ll also receive one as a reward for accomplishing certain trader missions. Although the bike isn’t incredibly quick, it’s unique because it doesn’t need gas to operate, which makes it very useful during the initial stages of the game when players haven’t accumulated much fuel.
As a survivor in this post-apocalyptic world, I’ve found that my bike, despite having only nine storage slots, is quite handy in the early days. It allows me to gather a bit more loot while scavenging Points of Interest (POIs). In emergencies, it can also serve as an escape route from those relentless zombie hordes. However, don’t forget that activating the speed boost will drain my stamina rather rapidly.
The Minibike
Progressing further is moving on to the mini-scooter. Although it’s not much quicker than a regular bicycle, it offers significantly more space for storage. In this game, players are given a total of 27 storage compartments at their disposal. Interestingly, they won’t deplete any stamina when activating the speed boost feature. Moreover, various upgrades can be added to the mini-scooter, enhancing its speed, fuel capacity, fuel efficiency, and more.
As a gamer who’s always up for an off-road adventure, let me tell you, this little bike packs a punch! It’s no pushover; I can vouch for that after giving it some rough treatment. This minibike is resilient, able to withstand quite the bashing before needing some TLC. Perfect for thrill-seekers like us who love pushing our vehicles to their limits, whether that means colliding with trees or unearthing ore deposits.
The Motorcycle
As an enthusiast, I’ll share my thoughts about this agile motorbike that boasts a generous number of storage compartments – a whopping 36! It’s quite resilient, too, which is unexpected yet delightful. However, it does require some finesse to handle, particularly when cruising at top speed. Yet, with these many storage spaces, I can efficiently explore Points of Interest and haul back all the loot without a worry, ensuring my base is well-stocked!
The modifications you can make to a mini-bike are identical to those for a mini-bike. But here’s the twist: while a mini-bike doesn’t have this feature, you can actually create an armor modification for your bike, enhancing its durability beyond its current state.
The 4×4
Among all the vehicles in the game, none surpasses the 4×4 when it comes to storage capacity, boasting a grand total of 81 slots. This makes it an excellent choice for clearing out extensive Points of Interest (POIs) and towns. Despite sharing the same speed as motorcycles, the 4×4 can accommodate up to 6 passengers if you install the extra seat modification. Compared to the motorcycle, which only allows a maximum of 2 players, the 4×4 is an ideal pick for gamers who prefer team play with friends.
Unfortunately, the 4×4 lacks strength significantly; even minor impacts could cause substantial harm to the vehicle. Additionally, its handling is not ideal, leading to frequent losses of control for users, resulting in frequent accidents.
The Gyrocopter
In the game, the Gyrocopter is the final vehicle you’ll acquire. It’s quite expensive to manufacture and offers less storage space than the 4×4 with only 45 slots. But here’s the catch: it’s the sole vehicle in the game capable of flight.
In this game, the Gyrocopter stands out as the speediest vehicle available, making swift transitions across the map without attracting hordes of zombies. However, users should be aware that occasionally, vultures will attack, which can prove frustrating since you’ll need to touch down to fend off these airborne nuisances. Keep in mind, venturing out in a Gyrocopter during horde nights is risky due to the overwhelming presence of vultures seeking food.
What Is The Best Vehicle In 7 Days To Die?
Many players often favor the motorcycle as their preferred means of transportation due to its durability, speed, ample storage space, and ability to navigate narrow areas effortlessly.
In contrast to the Gyrocopter, which excels in long-distance missions, a motorcycle offers greater ease in handling. Moreover, escaping from pursuers is more straightforward on a motorcycle compared to maneuvering a Gyrocopter, particularly in urban settings or densely wooded areas. This is because the Gyrocopter requires a spacious, flat, and clear area for swift takeoff, which can be hard to find in such environments.
In essence, while the SUV (4×4) boasts greater storage capacity and seating options compared to the motorcycle, the motorcycle outperforms the SUV in durability and ease of handling. Furthermore, it’s important to note that the SUV consumes gas at a significantly quicker pace than the motorcycle.
As a seasoned adventurer who has traversed countless terrains on various vehicles, I can confidently say that there’s nothing quite like a motorcycle when it comes to speed and storage capacity. I’ve tried both minibikes and bicycles, but neither can compare to the motorcycle in terms of performance. The motorcycle is not only faster than both of those vehicles combined, but it also boasts more storage slots, which makes it an absolute game-changer for clearing out Points of Interest (POIs).
After unlocking the motorcycle as their third obtainable vehicle, many players can expect to use the motorcycle within the initial few weeks of play. This versatile vehicle proves beneficial not only in the middle stages of the game but also in its later phases.
In many cases, players alternate between riding a motorcycle and using a Gyrocopter based on the mission or point of interest they are considering. These vehicles can even be employed jointly under specific circumstances. For instance, if a mission requires you to clear out a distant location, first fly to a nearby road, then switch to your motorcycle to approach the POI closely. This tactic allows you to gather goods from the building with the bike and make a swift getaway if things turn unfavorable.
