It may come as a shock that there isn’t a video game based on the show yet, but if you want to indulge in drug-dealing chaos, you’ll need to be creative and find alternatives.
To be straightforward, it’s challenging to find games that perfectly replicate the Breaking Bad universe given its heavy drug themes. However, there are several titles you might find engaging.
If you prefer to role-play as a self-centered scientific genius, or identify with Hank as he pursues Heisenberg, here are some games that might interest you.
I’ve made an effort to incorporate a variety of game genres, and I’ve also added multiple player modes to allow you and your chemistry-loving companions to build a sparkling empire together.
8. Payday 2
An Unrivaled Criminal Co-Op Experience
Payday 2 is a renowned cooperative shooter and heist game, offering players countless hours of engaging content. One unique feature that sets it apart is a mission involving the production of meth, which gives it a distinctive position on the list.
If you’ve never tried it, “Payday 2” is a game where choosing to go all-out with your weapons might not always be the wisest choice. It offers numerous heists for you to complete, and there are multiple strategies available to conquer each one.
In essence, “Cook Off” presents an exhilarating challenge where you strive to prepare and amass meth without causing the lab to explode. The gameplay cycle of “Payday 2” is remarkably engaging, as it persistently offers a continuous flow of rewards.
I would advise against playing Payday 3, as anyone who follows the series (including myself) can attest that its predecessor offers significantly more content.
7. Grand Theft Auto V

Among all game series, none delves into the criminal lifestyle quite like “Grand Theft Auto V”. While any “GTA” title could arguably be included, “GTA V” stands out as the most recent release and boasts unparalleled online capabilities.
Grand Theft Auto V is so vast it can be overwhelming to figure out where to start. The narrative revolves around the character of Franklin, a minor criminal, but things change when he crosses paths with Michael and Trevor, who are both experienced criminals.
As a gamer, I can tell you that with Grand Theft Auto V (GTA V), you’ve got the power to switch control between any member of the trio whenever it suits you. Plus, there are a plethora of side activities for you to dive into, making each playthrough unique and engaging. And here’s the cherry on top: with GTA V, you automatically gain entry to the expansive world of GTA Online, a universe deep enough that you could easily lose yourself in it for thousands upon thousands of hours.
6. Drug Dealer Simulator
On The Nose
Up until quite recently, Drug Dealer Simulator was likely one of the top choices for those craving their Breaking Bad experience. Given its title, you play the role of a drug dealer, with the objective to grow your criminal empire and attract more customers.
Similar to the items you’re marketing, the gameplay of Drug Dealer Simulator is both captivating and fulfilling. Admittedly, it can become somewhat monotonous over time, yet it undeniably fits the category of comfortable games.
You are free to try out blending different items, and surprisingly, it performs exceptionally well, similar to numerous games labeled as ‘Simulators’.
Currently, the creators of “Drug Dealer Simulator” are facing criticism from gamers due to speculations about potential legal issues related to another game named “Schedule I”. While I’m not an expert in law or copyright matters, the numerous negative reviews on Steam seem to suggest this could be a concern.
5. L.A. Noire

In most of these games, you assume the role of a criminal, but let’s face it, the true champion in “Breaking Bad” was Hank. Though he consistently found himself playing catch-up on the series, perhaps you can outwit him by achieving what he couldn’t.
L.A. Noire” is an engaging detective title developed by Rockstar Games prior to their exclusive focus on “Grand Theft Auto”. In this game, you assume the role of Cole Phelps, a rising police officer, as he tackles crime within the city.
The game earns a spot on the list due to its remarkable detective sequences in which you have to figure out if your suspect is being dishonest and obtain those verdicts. Throughout the show, Gustavo Fring often deceived Hank on numerous occasions.

4. Red Dead Redemption 2
One Of The Best Games Of The Generation
In a more conversational style, you could say: While Rockstar’s epic game “Red Dead Redemption 2” and the TV series “Breaking Bad” belong to different genres (Western vs. Drama), their narratives share some striking similarities.
In a nutshell, you take on the role of Arthur, a character who isn’t shying away from getting involved in potentially messy situations, all in the name of what he perceives as the greater good.
As a gamer immersed in this virtual world, I can’t help but draw parallels between my character’s journey and that of Walter White. The creators have crafted such an engrossing narrative that it effortlessly rivals the quality of stories told through other mediums.
In Red Dead Redemption 2 (RDR2), you’ll always find yourself subject to the law, and the world is so engrossing that it outshines many other games in the genre. If you’re up for a game with similar narrative themes but set in 1899, RDR2 is definitely worth a play.
3. Saints Row 2
Rule The Streets
Few video game franchises dare to change things up as dramatically as the Saints Row series does between its different installments. Personally, I’m particularly fond of the second one, which is why I suggest it, but each game in the series offers an engaging open-world criminal experience. In fact, Saints Row 4 even features aliens!
In simpler terms, the game titled “Saints Row 2” offers an exceptional experience in an open world setting, filled with crime-related scenarios such as gang conflicts and drug dealing operations. The drug dealing aspect isn’t just a minor detail but is instead a well-developed side mission where you are tasked with safeguarding your dealers while they exchange goods with clients.
As a die-hard gamer, I can’t help but notice the nods to “Breaking Bad” in the new title, Saints Row. For instance, there’s this not-so-subtle meth lab disguised as an RV in a zone called Cranston. While I personally think Saints Row 2 outshines it in numerous ways, it’s definitely worth giving it a spin to see for yourself.

You’ll need to hire personnel for various tasks related to your operations, such as chemists for product creation and security personnel to safeguard your dealers.
Initially, you begin your journey in a humble capacity, peddling common herbs, yet swiftly escalate to more potent substances like meth. Remarkably, despite its simplicity, ‘Basement’ serves as an accessible introduction to the management simulator genre.
I recommend playing the Sandbox mode first, as the Story has a few brutal difficulty spikes.

You Saw This One Coming
Overnight in March, Schedule I gained massive popularity, with a number of players that even top-tier games aspire to have. It could be said that it offers an experience not unlike playing a Breaking Bad video game.
In this setup, you assume the role of a character who rises from poverty to wealth in a storyline reminiscent of a “rags-to-riches” narrative. Initially, you operate as a marijuana dealer from a run-down motel room.
As a devoted enthusiast, if you stay persistent, take excellent care of your clients, and navigate things wisely, you’ll find yourself rising above your modest origins, swimming in wealth beyond your wildest spending dreams.
In Schedule I, advancement is rewarding, allowing you to play at a speed that suits you best. Creating new items by blending drugs with various substances is surprisingly enjoyable, and you have the freedom to even label your masterpieces and sell them on the street.
