  • Invincible eventually becomes the strongest character, surpassing Omni-Man as the series progresses.
  • Characters like Battle Beast, Conquest, Space Racer, Atom Eve, and the Guardians of the Globe can defeat Omni-Man.

The Invincible comic series boasts a wide array of superpowered characters, each with distinct powers and skills. One such character is Omni Man, also known as Nolan Greyson, who stands out as one of the most powerful figures. Being an Elite Viltrumite, he is among the series’ most formidable warriors, respected not only for his exceptional leadership but also for his impressive combat skills.

In a unique approach by Robert Kirkman, the show’s mastermind, he’s carefully crafted a power distribution within the series that allows various characters to potentially outmatch each other, not only through brute force but also through strategy and intelligence. Even Omni Man isn’t immune to this balance, as there are numerous characters capable of defeating him. As the story unfolds, some characters even surpass his strength, while new, stronger characters enter the scene later on.

8. Grand Regent Thragg

The Ruthless Leader of Viltrumites Can Easily Defeat Omni Man

  • Series: Invincible
  • Volume: 14
  • Written By: Robert Kirkman
  • Illustrated By: Ryan Ottley, Cory Walker
  • Year Released: 2011

Thragg serves as the Supreme Commander among the Viltrumites, having been raised for strategic leadership and boasting immense power within their ranks. He’s not only a merciless ruler but also an accomplished warrior, capable of swiftly defeating most opponents with minimal effort. Known as the chief antagonist in the series, it may take Invincible a considerable amount of time to match Thragg’s strength level.

He’s incredibly strong, even capable of overpowering Omni-Man who puts up a valiant effort to cause harm. Frequently in the comics, we see Omni-Man engage in combat with Thragg, but he consistently falls short when it comes to matching Thragg’s fighting prowess and brute strength.

7. Invincible

Omni-Man’s Son Eventually Surpasses Him in Terms of Power

As the story unfolds, it appears that Invincible is initially weaker than Omni-Man, but don’t be fooled – he significantly increases his strength over time. Just as Goku does in the Dragon Ball series, Invincible accumulates substantial power boosts throughout the narrative, setting him up for a final showdown with Thragg at the conclusion of the series.

At the culmination of the series, Mark Grayson emerges as the most potent character, boasting an exceptional blend of Viltrumite power and human adaptability. His unique genes grant him Viltrumite’s immense strength and durability, while also augmenting these attributes with the adrenaline-fueled abilities typical of humans. As such, he proves to be a formidable figure both as a leader and adversary. Despite requiring some time, Mark ultimately surpasses Omni-Man in power.

6. Battle Beast

The Ferocious Feline Can Go Toe to Toe With the Strongest Viltrumites

In the first season of Invincible, Battle Beast made an appearance as a mercenary employed by the local criminal mastermind Machine Head. Interestingly, this character is one of the most powerful in the series. His backstory reveals that he was once a mighty warrior who freed his home planet from oppressive rulers and criminals. However, he’s now been afflicted with an unquenchable desire for combat.

He continues to free numerous planets, earning him a reputation as a formidable warrior throughout the cosmos. He is always seeking an adversary who can match him in combat, and the prospect of battling Viltrumites excites him. In truth, he possesses such strength that he can engage Thragg in battle, even giving him a tough challenge. It’s safe to say he outmatches Omni-Man in terms of power.

5. Allen the Alien

His Zenkai Boosts Give Him Significant Power-Ups

Initially, Allen the Alien is noticeably weaker compared to Omni-Man, who suggests he has effortlessly overpowered Allen previously. Moreover, Allen’s confidence in Invincible‘s ability to defeat him early on in the series is not misplaced. However, as the story unfolds, Allen possesses a secret strength enhancement that positions him among the most powerful characters. He gains strength each time he narrowly escapes death.

In the narrative I’m part of, I share striking similarities with the Saiyans from Dragon Ball, biologically speaking. Throughout the course of our storyline, I receive several power enhancements, setting me apart in a way that by the climax, there is no one else stronger than me, save for Invincible. Interestingly, I manage to hold my own against Omni-Man, even managing to defeat him midway through the comic books.

4. Conquest

The Most Sadistic Viltrumite Can Certainly Defeat Omni-Man

The second most powerful Viltrumite is often seen as being Robot, due to the fear that other Viltrumites have of him. This reputation arises from his character, which is known for being merciless and cruel even by the high standards of the Viltrumite species. He derives pleasure from causing pain to his adversaries.

In the comic books, Invincible battles against He twice, and on both occasions, it seems as though their power and combat skills surpass what He can handle. It takes an immense amount of determination to overcome him, and during their second encounter, Invincible remarks that he is “almost as powerful” as his father, suggesting that Conquest could potentially defeat Omni-Man.

3. Space Racer

The Infinity Ray Makes Him a Formidable Opponent For Any Viltrumite

Space Racer stands out in the Invincible series for his intriguing power dynamics. Unlike many others, he isn’t particularly powerful individually. However, what truly makes him a formidable foe against characters like Omni-Man or any other Viltrumite is his weapon, the Infinity Ray. This weapon possesses an incredible ability to instantly kill anyone it strikes, and it’s so potent that it can even create a hole in a planet’s core.

In his books, Omni-Man often refers to Space Racer’s weapon as a potential tool against the Viltrumites. He engages in combat with Space Racer and emerges victorious mainly due to outsmarting him. However, it should be noted that if Space Racer manages to strike Omni-Man with the Infinity Beam, he could potentially defeat Omni-Man.

2. Atom Eve

With Her Limiters Removed, She’s The Strongest Character in the Series

Generally speaking, Atom Eve boasts an unbounded capacity in her abilities. In fact, her powers proved to be more troublesome for Conquest than raw strength from Invincible could manage. This character’s prowess largely depends on their own ingenuity, and while they often display remarkable creativity with their powers, they remain a delicate powerhouse that can crumble if put in the wrong position or under excessive pressure.

As a dedicated fan of the Invincible series, I must admit that one character stands out as exceptionally powerful – she’s got a hidden ace up her sleeve that makes her arguably the strongest character in the entire series. In moments of intense trauma or when she’s close to death, she experiences a remarkable transformation. Her powers become unrestricted, and in this state, she possesses an extraordinary ability to manipulate and modify not only her own biological properties but also those of others nearby. She came incredibly close to annihilating Conquest with just one powerful beam while in this empowered condition.

1. The First Guardians of the Globe

When Working Together, They’re Capable of Defeating Omni-Man

The narrative opens with Omni-Man eliminating every member of the initial team known as Guardians of the Globe, who draw their inspiration from DC’s Justice League. On their own, none can overpower Omni-Man, but when they collaborate effectively and avoid being caught off guard, they can successfully defeat him.

When Omni-Man suddenly attacks them, they’re taken aback but manage to strike him with powerful blows that come close to killing him when they cooperate. If they hadn’t been surprised, it could be argued that they would have effortlessly defeated him, and the subsequent comic storyline supports this.
