Summary
- 8 games are set to leave PlayStation Plus’ game catalog on February 18.
- PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers are granted access to a special game catalog, but new games are added and removed regularly.
- Notable titles leaving the game catalog in February are The Outer Worlds, Tales of Arise, and Scarlet Nexus.
In February 2025, PlayStation Plus subscribers will no longer be able to play eight additional games from their library due to rotation in the selection. While the Essential tier offers three new games each month, the Extra and Premium tiers provide a vast game collection with ample choices. Regrettably, although fresh games are continuously added, some titles are also taken off.
Owners of PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 find PS Plus indispensable for their consoles. Besides enabling multiplayer gaming experiences such as Call of Duty online, the Extra and Premium membership tiers offer a vast selection of games at no additional cost. However, similar to Xbox Game Pass, games on PS Plus are occasionally taken off to make room for new ones. In January, titles like Just Cause 3, Just Cause 4, Life is Strange, Resident Evil 2, and others were removed. Sadly, more games will be departing the service in the near future.
On Twitter, it was pointed out by Wario64 that eight additional games will depart from PS Plus on February 18, 2025. The games set to leave in February include: “The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition,” “Tales of Arse,” “Tales of Zestiria,” “Tales of Symphonia Remastered,” “Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition,” “Outriders,” “Scarlet Nexus,” and “Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition.” Although these games may not be the top-tier offerings on PS Plus, the upcoming removal of “The Outer Worlds” and “Tales of Arise” will be a significant loss for subscribers. Fortunately, there is still some time left to enjoy these titles before they are taken off the service.
Games Leaving PS Plus Extra and Premium on February 18
- The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition
- Tales of Arise
- Tales of Zestiria
- Tales of Symphonia Remastered
- Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition
- Outriders
- Scarlet Nexus
- Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition
Despite the disappointment that some series endings might bring to fans, subscribers of PS Plus Extra and Premium were treated to a range of significant games in January. Games such as God of War Ragnarok, Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, Citizen Sleeper, and Atlas Fallen: Reign of Sand were just a few examples of the large selection added to the service. In total, PS Plus welcomed 11 new titles, with the most notable addition undoubtedly being the much-anticipated sequel to the 2018 hit, God of War, God of War Ragnarok.
For individuals who subscribe to the most basic version of PS Plus, there were some significant free games offered in January. The high-profile game Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League was at the forefront, with Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered and The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe also being included in the selection. Unlike the game libraries available to the Extra and Premium tiers, the monthly games (which can be accessed by all tiers) allow players to keep the titles permanently. However, they must claim these games before the new set of monthly games are released for the next month.
