This article contains spoilers for Jujutsu Kaisen and Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo.
Gojo Satoru is widely considered the most powerful sorcerer of his time in the world of Jujutsu Kaisen. He was exceptionally fortunate to be born into the Gojo Clan with both the rare abilities of Limitless and the Six Eyes—a combination that occurs only once every few centuries. Through intense training, Gojo honed his already incredible powers to perfection.
It was tragic when Gojo died fighting Sukuna. But since then, we’ve seen a surge of strong new sorcerers, like Yuji Itadori, and the new Modulo group with members like Tsurugi and Yuka. The author, Gege, has even introduced Dabura, an alien powerful enough to potentially rival Gojo.
Hiromi Higuruma
Hiromi Higuruma had a significant role in the final arc of JJK, battling alongside other sorcerers against Sukuna. He really impressed fans and was even compared to Gojo Satoru in terms of potential.
I’m seriously impressed by this guy – he’s got incredible potential and a phenomenal Shikigami named Judgeman! What really sets him apart is his Domain Expansion, Deadly Sentencing. It’s unbelievably powerful – a single hit can either completely disable someone or, frankly, take them out of the fight for good.
Marulu Val Vol Yelvori
In the recent Jujutsu Kaisen arc, Gege Akutami has added aliens to the story, and some of them are incredibly strong. A prime example is Marulu Val Vol Yelvori, who is often referred to simply as Maru.
Maru is one of the three central characters, and currently, he’s the most powerful. His cursed technique, which doesn’t have a formal name yet, is incredibly strong and appears to let him control fundamental forces like gravity and even change matter itself.
Tsurugi Okkotsu
Tsurugi Okkotsu is the grandson of two well-known characters from Jujutsu Kaisen: Maki Zenin and Yuta Okkotsu. He originally appeared in a short story, but now plays a central role as one of the three main characters in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo.
Like Maki, Tsurugi doesn’t have much cursed energy naturally. He’s incredibly skilled with a sword and is very physically strong. He admires Maki and hopes to become as capable as she is, and may even exceed her abilities one day. His potential will be further developed in the Modulo arc.
Yuka Okkotsu
I’ve been following the Jujutsu Kaisen story, and I’ve learned that Yuka Okkotsu is related to some key figures. She’s Yuta and Maki’s granddaughter, and also the younger sister of Tsurugi. Interestingly, she first appeared way back in the original JJK one-shot, but now she’s become a really important character in the new ‘JJK Modulo’ series – one of the main ones, in fact.
Yuka shares a powerful gift with her grandfather – a huge amount of cursed energy. If she recovers Rika’s stolen ring, she has the potential to become the most powerful sorcerer of her generation, carrying on her grandfather’s legacy.
Yuta Okkotsu
Yuta Okkotsu played a crucial role in the final arc of Jujutsu Kaisen. He demonstrated his incredible abilities while battling Sukuna, proving himself to be one of the most significant fighters in the series.
I’m still reeling from the events after the war! It’s incredible to think that Yuta Okkotsu actually succeeded Gojo and became the head of the Gojo clan. Like Gojo, he had a connection to Michizane Sugawara and just overflowed with cursed energy, but he also had Rika, which was a huge advantage. His cursed technique, Copy, is already amazing, but when he unleashed his Domain Expansion, Authentic Mutual Love, and started using all those copied techniques at once… wow! It’s heartbreaking, though – it’s been confirmed that Yuta sadly passed away in the JJK Modulo timeline. It’s a real loss.
Fumihiko Takaba
Takaba is a strange and powerful character in Jujutsu Kaisen. He received a unique cursed technique from Kenjaku called ‘Comedian,’ which allows him to make anything he finds funny actually happen. While his power is incredibly strong and has almost no limits, Takaba unfortunately wasn’t able to fully control or utilize it.
Yuji Itadori
In the fight against Sukuna, Yuji Itadori played a crucial role, second only to Gojo Satoru. Because he was Sukuna’s vessel, Yuji developed incredible abilities that were comparable to those of the King of Curses himself. Ultimately, Yuji was the one who defeated Sukuna, something Gojo hadn’t been able to do. Throughout the battle, Yuji unlocked powerful techniques like Blood Manipulation and Shrine, and even mastered Domain Expansion.
Now that Gojo and Sukuna are gone, Yuji is clearly Japan’s most powerful sorcerer. His return in the upcoming arc promises to be epic, showcasing all the skills he’s developed.
Dabura
Dabura is a Simurian character in JJK Modulo who was first presented as a bad guy. Aside from Sukuna, he’s likely the only character strong enough to rival Gojo’s power.
Dabura was considered an incredibly powerful opponent, on par with Sukuna. In fact, he may even be stronger. Although we haven’t seen the full extent of his abilities yet, he’s sure to be a formidable foe.
