TopMob reports that Battlefield 6 is planned to receive at least nine new game modes after its initial release, with development already underway on these modes.
We previously shared that six new game modes were being created for Battlefield 6, and even more have been found within the game’s code since the first season launched. We already know Sabotage and Strikepoint are on their way, leaving Raid, Payload, Squad Shootout, and Tank Hunt as the remaining modes from the initial set of six.
Five New Battlefield 6 Gamemodes
However, TopMob has also found five new game modes hidden in the game’s files. These modes are labeled as ‘Prototypes,’ suggesting they are very early versions still being worked on.
The available game modes are Convoy, Fantastic Four, Gunmaster, Touchdown, and Tug of War. Here’s the text found within the game files:
These are the file paths for several game modes within the GlacierMP system. They include Convoy, Fantastic Four, Gunmaster, Touchdown, and Tug of War. These paths likely point to the setup or mode definition files for each game type.
As TopMob previously reported on naval combat in Battlefield games, “Glacier” is the internal project name for Battlefield 6.
Some of these game types might just be temporary names used during development, but ‘Gunmaster’ is likely a ‘Gun Game’ mode. In this type of mode, players get a new weapon with each kill. Usually, you have to go through 20 different weapons, finishing with a knife kill to win.
Tug of War is likely a game mode similar to Breakthrough, where players advance by capturing flags. Capturing a flag pushes the opposing team back, but they can recapture it to fight for control and ultimately win.
