Elon Musk Reveals What Is Next for Grok AI

In the upcoming version of Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence (AI), there will be a greater focus on recognizing and interpreting real-life images. The latest Grok release, version 1.5, is now ready for beta testing among selected testers and existing clients.

Elon Musk’s AI chatbot, Grok, is set to unveil an eagerly awaited new version, Grok-1.5. This update will be geared towards handling visual data, including documents, diagrams, charts, screenshots, and photographs. Elon Musk himself announced these plans during the “Grok-1.5 Vision Preview” event on X, held on April 13, 2024.

According to the document’s announcement, the upcoming chatbot update includes a robust image processing tool named RealWorldQA, enabling it to comprehend visual occurrences and situations.

Previously reported by U.Today, Elon Musk mentioned that the updated version of Grok, Grok 1.5, would have the capability to read and summarize X posts and assist X users in creating them.

RealWorldQA’s first version comes with approximately 700 images, each accompanied by a clear question and a corresponding factual answer. This collection is freely accessible to anyone with an interest, under the Creative Commons BY-ND 4.0 license.

Grok-1.5V to outperform GPT4 and Gemini Pro 1.5: Data

Mostly, the groundbreaking dataset is made up of de-identified photos collected from cars, as well as various real-life images.

In a series of attached samples, Grok-1.5 transforms a block scheme into Python code, produces a bedtime story based on a child’s painting, creates a CSV dataset from a screenshot, “expands” a meme and so on.

Additionally, the xAI group provided an evaluation of how Grok-1.5 stacks up against its primary competitors, OpenAI’s GPT, Google’s Gemini Pro 1.5, and Claude 3 from Anthropic.

According to xAI’s report, Grok-1.5 excelled in all math problems, text comprehension, and real-life situation analyses compared to other competitors.
