In the updated version of Oblivion, known as “Oblivion Remastered”, various enchanted rings are available for players to choose according to their preferred gameplay style. For those choosing a mage-centric build in the game, obtaining the Sorcerer’s Ring is highly recommended. This ring offers a Self Absorption buff when activated, which converts incoming spell attacks into Magicka reserves. Additionally, it increases the base Magicka pool that a player can utilize by 25 points. Here’s a guide on how to acquire the Sorcerer’s Ring in the game.
How to Get the Sorcerer’s Ring in Oblivion Remastered

One great spot for obtaining the Sorcerer’s Ring is within the Robber’s Glen Cave, situated south of the Imperial City in the revamped version of Oblivion, known as Oblivion Remastered. Compared to other loot caves in the game, it’s relatively smaller but still packs a punch with some connecting tunnels and a boss chest at its entrance.
Before setting off for the location, it’s essential to gather some lockpicks since they’re necessary for unlocking the chests there. Inside the cave, locked chests may contain a ring (there’s approximately a 10% chance), and if you manage to defeat the boss, there’s a possibility that he could drop a higher-tier/enchanted ring. Let’s walk through the entire farming process to help you obtain a Sorcerer’s Ring.
How to Farm for the Sorcerer’s Ring

Upon arriving at the entryway to Robber’s Glen Cave, it would be wise for players to save their progress initially. That way, if they fail to obtain the Sorcerer’s Ring during their journey, they can easily reload their game and retrieve all the treasures stored within the chests.
Upon venturing into the cave, continue moving deeper until you meet an Imp not far ahead. After defeating the Imp, you’ll come across the initial locked chest within the cave. Once you’ve collected any valuable treasures hidden inside, proceed deeper into the cave where you’ll discover another chest in a spacious yet confined area.
To your right, there’s a trail that takes players into the heart of Robber’s Glen Cave. After defeating a gang of Imps, you’ll end up in a larger space with three treasure chests. Once you’ve inspected these chests, the path ahead will lead to more chests until you encounter the Minotaur Lord boss.
Overcome the boss, then open the big treasure chest that lies beyond it. After this, you have two options: go back to the main area, turn right for additional treasures, or load your quicksave to start again. Once you’ve obtained the Sorcerer’s Ring, just leave the cave and appreciate its distinctive character bonuses in the remastered version of Oblivion.
