Summary
- Fahkumram will return in Tekken 8 with a tragic backstory and will be part of the upcoming version 2.03 update.
- Three updates are planned for Tekken 8 in Season 2, with new costumes, stages, and a Pac-Man collaboration.
It’s confirmed that the fierce Muay Thai fighter Fahkumram will be making a comeback in Tekken 8, along with various enhancements planned for the fighting game throughout spring and summer. Over this period, there are expected to be three updates for Tekken 8, each introducing new costumes, stages, and Fight Pass rewards.
In Season 2, Anna Williams, the younger sibling of the veteran Tekken series combatant Nina Williams, has reappeared in Tekken 8. Her much-anticipated return occurred towards the end of February, sporting a fresh new appearance that has sparked mixed reactions within the gaming community. Furthermore, two more characters are set to make their comeback before Season 2 concludes, along with the introduction of an entirely novel fighter.
In the recently released preview, it’s been confirmed that Fahkumram, an original character from Tekken 7, will be reappearing. First introduced as part of the Fated Retribution DLC for Tekken 7, Fahkumram made his entrance at the Tekken World Tour 2019 tournament, causing a stir among fans. This muscular martial artist with numerous tattoos has a heart-wrenching past, as he was compelled to battle for a corrupt military group that took his wife and daughter hostage after he refused to fix a fight in one of his professional matches. Towards the end of the new trailer, Fahkumram’s comeback is teased dramatically, as he breaks free from a sealed metal container, echoing his initial reveal where he emerged from a similar device lowered by a helicopter and inflicted damage on opponent Craig Markduk.

Before that, two more updates are planned: the first, version 2.01, arrives on May 13 and adds the free Tekken Ghost Showdown mode to the fight Lounge, as well as two new packs available for purchase in the shop. The second update, version 2.02, comes on June 3 and features a collaboration with Karate Kid: Legends, offering both free and paid new costumes. However, it seems that the most significant update among them all is the 2.03 version, which will introduce a Pac-Man collaboration complete with the vibrant Pac-Pixels stage and additional features like new hit effects, wearable accessories, and more.
With every new update, you can expect further tweaks to the game’s character lineup for a more equitable playing experience. Lately, the game has faced some harsh criticism regarding its imbalanced gameplay, which began with the release of Season 2. The recent patches for Tekken 8 are merely the first steps in our ongoing mission to make the gameplay feel fairer once again.
