This means the main screen will slightly shrink to make room for ads that pop up on the sides. Initially, these mini-ads are muted, but users can choose to turn up the volume if they wish. If implemented, this change could significantly improve viewing experience on Twitch as streams can continue uninterrupted with ads playing off to one side.
