Assassin’s Creed Shadows Teases First Special Collaboration Later This Month

Assassin’s Creed Shadows is making its first venture into collaborations very soon.

Towards the end of last month, Ubisoft unveiled their development plan for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, which hinted at a first special collaboration in late May, along with the game’s second significant update.

Now we know that crossover will be with Dead by Daylight.

Ubisoft has hinted at an upcoming collaboration, without revealing many details, only stating that it will be released on May 27th.

Just The First?

As a gaming enthusiast, I’m super excited about the upcoming collaborations hinted on the roadmap! Dead by Daylight is merely the beginning; there’s a whole lot more to come!

In Assassin’s Creed games, collaborations usually offer unique missions and aesthetic rewards. Given the phrasing used in the announcement, it’s likely that similar elements will be included in this collaboration as well.

Over time, the Assassin’s Creed series has featured numerous collaborations across different platforms, from within the games themselves to external projects like team-ups with Final Fantasy, Destiny 2, and a recent collection in Magic: The Gathering, among others.

In the upcoming May release, you’ll notice some substantial improvements to our parkour system, building upon the adjustments we made in the previous update. Additionally, there will be fine-tunings to our photo mode feature.

Ubisoft is launching into their new projects aggressively, even for a game that’s just two months old, and it seems like this could be the first in a series of collaborations. If the pace of these events reflects their usual rhythm, there might be many more such collaborations to come.

Dead by Daylight, a horror game that’s like a hall of fame for iconic horror villains, continues to add new characters. In 2025 alone, it introduced playable killers from Resident Evil and the works of Junji Ito, joining its existing roster of famous killers from video games and films.
