The recent surge in transactions on Shibarium has seen an impressive increase, with this spike being more than twice as large as the previous one which occurred only two days ago and was at 1.84 gwei. This highlights the remarkable speed at which Shibarium is being used.
The recent spike in gas prices can primarily be explained by the rising usage of the network. In just one day, Shibarium has experienced a significant jump in transactions, going from 9,750 to 10,770. At the same time, there has been a substantial increase in the number of active accounts interacting with Shibarium, resulting in a noteworthy 34% growth in new accounts, bringing the total to 478.

In simple terms, transactions in Shibarium, the Shiba Inu ecosystem’s layer 2 solution, are processed using BONE as the facilitator. Despite the substantial increase in gas fees, the value of BONE has remained fairly consistent, suggesting a robust market reaction.
Despite this, BONE managed a significant 14.86% price increase over the last week, suggesting robustness within the wider Shiba Inu market.
