Initially, The Precinct might appear to have a weak narrative, but towards its conclusion, players unravel intricate connections between the Averno City Police and the infamous August Gang, a powerful criminal organization.
In the climactic phase of “The Precinct” game, players encounter a crucial decision point: Nick Cordell, having uncovered all facts regarding the August Gang case, now faces two paths with distinct outcomes. He can either expose the truth by delivering the evidence to a news outlet for public disclosure, or he can eliminate it and preserve the secrecy surrounding the gang’s activities. To help you weigh your choice between revealing or hiding the August Gang evidence in The Precinct, continue reading to explore the potential consequences and outcomes of each option.
Spoiler Alert: The rest of the article will reveal both endings of The Precinct.
Publishing The Evidence In The Precinct
To make the evidence public, players must bring it to the ACTV building in town and hand it over to the broadcasting station. This move could trigger significant public outcry against the precinct’s actions. As a consequence, Chief Jackson may lose his job at the police station, and a new chief will step up to fill the vacancy.
Additionally, revealing the evidence might lead to the removal of the memorial statue of Cordell’s father, the ex-chief, from the city. This action could be a significant emotional blow for Nick Cordell, but it appears to be the kind of sacrifice necessary to make the people of Averno City aware of the truth.

Upon her arrival at the office as the new head, she is expected to express admiration for Nick’s bravery in disclosing the proof. Most likely, Nick’s peers within the precinct will agree with his choice of doing what was right.
Destroying The Evidence In The Precinct
If the player chooses to eliminate the proof, they must transport it to Chief Cordell’s memorial and incinerate the case material. Contrasting with broadcasting the evidence which diminishes Nick’s role in favor of exposing the deep-seated corruption within the precinct, once the evidence is destroyed, newspapers will celebrate Nick Cordell for dismantling the August Gang leader and saving Chief Jackson.
Jackson will continue to serve in his position as head officer at the police department. Upon his recovery from the injury, Jackson intends to thank Nick for his confidentiality and acknowledges that this dedication will propel him towards more senior positions within the station.

In line with the previous scenario, Nick’s coworkers in the office continue to stand by him for choosing not to disclose the truth about the August Gang and their connections to the precinct. Additionally, Cordell receives touching messages from his colleagues expressing that his father is still viewed as a hero in Averno City, despite his errors.
Regardless of your choice, the game will revert back to its free-roam setting once the main plot concludes. You’ll find yourself patrolling the city again, taking turns to apprehend criminals. Your ranking progression will continue if you haven’t already reached the highest rank. Furthermore, you can still engage in additional activities such as racing or hunting for hidden items.
