Henry Cavill is best known for playing the role of Superman in the DC Extended Universe, as well as garnering much attention for his portrayal of Geralt of Rivia in Netflix’s The Witcher series. However, this talented English actor has revealed that his thoughts are now far removed from his days of monster-slaying and have instead been focused on another major video game adaptation project.

Fans of The Witcher series are already aware that Season 4 will introduce a fresh take on its magical realm, as Liam Hemsworth steps into the role of Geralt of Rivia, previously played by Henry Cavill. This shift may come as a surprise to fans who have grown accustomed to Cavill’s portrayal of Geralt, and many feel he is the only one capable of filling those tight leather boots and wielding the steel and silver swords. Fortunately, Cavill has been kept occupied with numerous projects, including Guy Ritchie’s 2025 thriller, “In the Grey,” and roles within the Warhammer 40,000 franchise, a project close to his heart given his fondness for the tabletop wargame. Despite his busy schedule, Cavill still finds time to enjoy some Netflix series, with one animated show reportedly capturing his attention recently.

Henry Cavill Enjoys Arcane So Much, He Can’t Stop Watching It

During an interview with BBC Radio 1, Henry Cavill shared how he discovered the popular Netflix series “Arcane”. Journalist and critic Ali Plumb introduced him to the show as he believed that Cavill, being a video game enthusiast, would enjoy it. Intrigued by the recommendation, Cavill became captivated by the show, even watching it past his bedtime with his wife, Natalie. As he put it, “I was so engrossed in it that I didn’t want to stop, and it got quite late, but Natalie agreed we should keep on watching.

“It’s amazing and I’m very thankful I was introduced to it or I may have missed it otherwise.”

It’s not surprising that Cavill found himself captivated by “Arcane,” given its engaging narrative, vibrant aesthetics, and captivating characters like beloved champions Jinx and Vi, making it a must-watch series. Remarkably, even among the vast sea of movies and TV shows, “Arcane” has earned universal praise from critics on Rotten Tomatoes, boasting a perfect 100% rating, with the audience score not trailing far behind at 96%. We fervently hope that Cavill has now had a chance to watch season 2 of the series, as well, considering the show’s executive producers hinted at a spinoff featuring fan-favorites Vi and Caitlyn, who may see their romantic storyline unfold.
