Charles Hoskinson Spooks XRP Community Again, Here’s Why

A Potential Collaboration Between Cardano and Ripple: Charles Hoskinson’s Changing Stance

As an analyst, I’ve been following the developments in the crypto world closely, including the potential collaboration between Cardano (ADA) and Ripple (XRP). While Charles Hoskinson, the founder of Cardano, has previously expressed skepticism towards such a partnership, recent events might lead him to reconsider. However, any change of heart would come with conditions that are yet to be disclosed.

Cardano Founder Demands Apology From Ripple Executives and XRP Community

At a recent X Space gathering, I found myself in a tense situation when the head honcho of a different crypto project demanded apologies from both XRP supporters and Ripple’s executives prior to considering any potential collaboration between our projects and Cardano.

He acknowledged that they had exaggerated matters regarding Cardano and further admitted that this was a result of ADA not backing XRP. Hoskinson explained the cause-and-effect relationship between their actions and ADA’s stance towards XRP.

Several XRP community members publicly criticized ADA as a “shitcoin” and even targeted Cardano’s founder, Charles Hoskinson, with trolling remarks. This harassment ensued following Hoskinson’s alleged “conspiracy” comments concerning Ripple and XRP during a live interview.

Despite his efforts to clarify, he found that his words fell on deaf ears within the XRP community. For over half a year, they persisted in scrutinizing Hoskinson’s past connections to Ethereum. This tension had first emerged about two years prior, ultimately leading Hoskinson to cut ties with the XRP army.

I regret to mention that prior to this point, Cardano was exploring the possibility of partnering with Ripple and Brad Garlinghouse on a Proof-of-Stake (PoS) initiative.

An Imminent XRPADA Collaboration?

After several months had passed, it seemed that Hoskinson might reconsider and reconcile with Ripple and XRP. In a subtle way, he put forth the question to the XRP community if they were open to finding common ground. However, this gesture did not bring an end to the ongoing conflict as it intensified further over time.

I analyzed a situation that unfolded four months ago when Ripple’s Chief Technology Officer, David Schwartz, requested feedback from Charles Hoskinson on his perspective regarding XRP. Following this request, there was a prolonged period of silence. Eventually, Hoskinson expressed his disdain for the XRP community through the X app, labeling it as “toxic and petty.” Simultaneously, he dismissed any prospects of a partnership between our entities.

He could have based his decision on the “persistent criticism” he received from the XRP community for the past two years, and the “limited technological connection” between Cardano and XRP.

The present demand for an apology from him indicates his willingness to consider reconciliation between Cardano and XRP at this time, representing a significant shift in stance. Nevertheless, the latest remark has stirred up the community once more, leaving uncertainty about the future developments.
