It appears that after much anticipation, it’s been announced that a live-action Elden Ring movie is being developed by A24. The project is believed to be led by Alex Garland (Ex Machina, Annihilation, Civil War), who will both write and direct the upcoming production.
For months, there have been rumors about the movie, but Deadline confirmed it today. Besides Garland, a few other names are linked to the project. Notably, George R.R. Martin, who teamed up with the Elden Ring studio From Software to develop the game’s backstory, is involved. Furthermore, Peter Rice and DNA’s Andrew MacDonald and Allon Reich have been appointed as producers.
As a gaming enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share some exciting news that’s hitting us right in the sweet spot of movies and games! Just after Garland’s latest cinematic masterpiece, Warfare (a collaboration with A24), raked in over $32 million since its release last month, we’re on the cusp of another epic event. I’m talking about Elden Ring: Nightreign, a spin-off game from the Elden Ring series, focusing on cooperative, PvE gaming action, and it drops on our screens on May 30th! Can’t wait to join forces with fellow gamers and dive into this new adventure!
