At the Combo Breaker tournament finale, it was unveiled that Tekken 8 would introduce the Muay Thai fighter Fahkumram on July 7 for Character Pass owners as part of Patch 2.03. He is expected to re-enter the ring in the upcoming months.

Amidst the rocky period that Tekken 8 was experiencing following a less-than-well-received Season 2 update, Bandai Namco took steps to rectify the situation. In the early days of May, Tekken’s executive producer Katsuhiro Harada expressed his apologies for the game’s condition and mentioned that the team responsible for balancing Tekken 8 had been reassigned due to intense player criticism. The current balance team for Tekken 8 is now under the leadership of Kohei “Nakatsu” Ikeda, who previously oversaw balance in games like Tekken Tag Tournament 2 and Tekken 7.

Under Nakatsu’s leadership, fans got a sneak peek at what’s to come for Tekken 8 during the summer and fall season. During the final round of the Combo Breaker fighting game tournament, a new trailer featuring Fahkumram in action was unveiled. This lightning-infused Muay Thai kickboxer is set to debut with Tekken 8’s Patch 2.03 on July 7, as an early access character for those who own the Season 2 Character Pass. Fahkumram will officially become a standalone character on July 10. As a traditional Muay Thai fighter, he uses elbow and knee strikes, kicks, punches, and lightning bolts to overpower his opponents. Having been compelled to participate in the King of Iron Fist tournament during Tekken 7’s Fated Retribution DLC, the next chapter of Fahkumram’s sorrowful story will be unfolded through a new Tekken 8 story update in Patch 2.03.

Tekken 8 Shares Fahkumram Gameplay and Fall DLC Character

In the upcoming game, Fahkumram offers players three new outfit choices to explore. The final scene of the Fahkumram gameplay trailer revealed that Armor King, the masked pro wrestler, is set to come back as a Fall 2025 DLC character, according to Bandai Namco.
