Summary

  • AC Shadows update on May 27 includes Dead by Daylight crossover quest and cosmetics.
  • New parkour improvements such as vertical jump and sprint toggle lock included.
  • Patch also introduces new Photo Mode features and bug fixes across various areas.

According to Ubisoft’s previously announced schedule, the significant update for Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be released by May 27th, which is just around the corner. This update is set to roll out across all platforms tomorrow.

Apart from experiencing fresh features and resolving issues, AC Shadow players can also look forward to partnerships with various gaming series. And here’s a fun fact: There are multiple collaborations planned, which caught me off guard.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows Title Update 1.0.5 Will Be Available On May 27 And Brings The Dead By Daylight Crossover

A significant innovation is the blending of content with Behaviour Interactive’s Dead by Daylight multiplayer horror series, which will introduce a fresh, complimentary quest that players can undertake once they’ve unlocked Yasuke as a playable character from their Hideout. Successful completion of this event awards players a free trinket and banner.

In the store, players have an opportunity to customize the game’s main characters using a unique Dead by Daylight themed accessory pack. This set will include various outfits, weapons, charms, and other items that can be purchased for a specified cost.

In addition to Dead by Daylight, Assassin’s Creed Shadows will also collaborate with the popular indie game, Balatro. A novel trinket for Nace and an amulet for Yasuke called “Winning Hand,” inspired by the card game Balatro, are being added to the game. A legendary perk offers players a possibility to activate a random affliction effect on combo finishes.

Apart from the fresh collaborative content, Ubisoft has introduced enhancements to the parkour system too. These updates comprise:

  • New Vertical Jump
  • Sprint Toggle Lock
  • Enhanced Back and Side Ejects

Also being rolled out as part of the patch include new Photo Mode features too.

New Photo Mode Features

  • Change the time of day
  • Play around with numerous poses and facial expressions
  • Toggle headgear on/off
  • Play music while editing your shots
  • Sticker colorization
  • New customization frames
  • Save Custom Filters
  • Reset only one parameter
  • Tweak camera speed
  • Improved preview mode
  • Fullscreen (PC only)

There are also bug fixes tied to the following:

  • General Gameplay
  • Balancing
  • World/Environment
  • Quests
  • Stealth
  • Combat
  • Visuals & Graphics
  • Hideout

The Xbox Series X|S version is also getting a platform specific fixes:

  • Addressed an issue where the gamertag would load indefinitely in the thumbnail of Photo Mode images on the World Map.
  • Addressed Mouse and Keyboard input issues.
  • Restored Balanced Performance Mode that was missing on Xbox Series X after Update 1.0.4.
  • NOTE: Balanced Performance Mode requires having the proper setup with a 120, 144, 165 or 240 Hz monitor.

Although this update is substantial, it’s dwarfed by others yet to come. Our plan reveals numerous additional changes, and a recent whisper hints at the debut of our first premium expansion, Claws of Awaji, around September.
