Summary
- Boruto Uzumaki has grown drastically stronger in Two Blue Vortex, acquiring new power-ups and techniques.
- Boruto’s evolution closely resembles Sasuke’s path rather than Naruto’s, thanks to his training with Sasuke.
- Boruto’s power level is increasing rapidly, possibly surpassing other great shinobi, thanks to intense training and new abilities.
In the anime titled “Boruto: Two Blue Vortex“, the main character, Boruto Uzumaki, has significantly evolved from his initial stages. He’s clearly become stronger, erasing all signs of his previous arrogant and detached persona. With an abundance of new abilities and moves at his disposal, his power seems to escalate at an unprecedented pace, surpassing even the other characters in the series in terms of speed.
In chapter 22 of “Boruto: Two Blue Vortex,” Boruto squares off against Jura in what seems like their first proper fight. Since their initial skirmish in Konoha, a confrontation between these two was destined due to their contrasting values and objectives. At this point in his career, Boruto is the only ninja who stands a chance against Jura, potentially even defeating him.
How Strong Is Boruto Now?
Boruto Uzumaki’s Current Power Level

In the Two Blue Vortex storyline, it’s evident that Boruto Uzumaki ranks among the most powerful ninja. His growth since the transition from Part 1 to Part 2 of the manga is remarkable, as he’s managed to boost his strength significantly in a short span. He’s gained new abilities and mastered new techniques under the tutelage of significant figures like Sasuke Uchiha and Kashin Koji. Additionally, it’s worth noting that the Karma seal within him is still present, a fact that many fans recognize for its immense potential.
Initially, it was thought that Boruto would follow Naruto’s path, but surprisingly, he has developed a style more reminiscent of Sasuke Uchiha. Interestingly, Sasuke himself has been his mentor, greatly enhancing his fighting abilities during the time jump. Unlike the old Boruto, who was characterized by arrogance and immaturity, the current version has undergone a transformation through hard lessons, and in doing so, has formed new values and aspirations.
“You’ve finally shown yourself, Boruto.”—Kawaki
It’s clear that Boruto will continue to get stronger as he faces the ongoing threats posed by the Otsutsuki Clan and the Human God Trees. The path to victory for him lies in becoming even stronger, but this could become progressively harder from now on. With Sasuke transformed into a tree and Naruto apparently trapped in some kind of pocket dimension because of Kawaki, Boruto may find it tougher to grow stronger independently.
Is Boruto’s Power Level Growing Faster Than We Think?
Boruto’s Drastic Transformation
In the series, Boruto could be the only character who has experienced significant growth immediately following the time jump. Many fans might find his swift development unexpected, but it’s a natural progression given his unwavering determination to revitalize the Uzumaki clan, shield the Leaf Village, and resist Momoshiki’s influence over him. His metamorphosis wasn’t an instant process; instead, he honed his skills under Sasuke and also trained with Kashin Koji during the past few years.
Confronting adversaries as formidable as Code no longer posed much of a challenge for Boruto, thanks to his latest version of the Rasengan, Uzuhiko, which proved overwhelmingly powerful against him. This particular variant of the Rasengan is among the strongest, if not the most potent, due to its prolonged duration and agonizing impact on the target, a trait only a select few can counteract. At this stage, Boruto demonstrated his self-reliance, overcoming opponents who initially surpassed him in strength without needing Karma’s assistance.
“I’ll be honest with you. Killing you is easy.”—Boruto
Kashin Koji’s foresight played a significant role in accelerating Boruto’s growth as demonstrated in the manga. With his prescience, present-day Boruto was able to learn his future techniques more quickly by receiving crucial information that sped up the learning process. Consequently, Boruto was able to develop a teleportation skill, which bears a strong resemblance to Minato’s Flying Raijin jutsu.
In this stage of the storyline, numerous fans, along with several characters, find themselves taken aback by the outcome of Boruto’s training. It appears that his abilities have grown exponentially, hinting at a potential surpassing of the legendary ninjas who previously protected the world. If Boruto learns to summon and utilize the Otsutsuki powers dwelling within him freely, without Momoshiki’s interference, it’s hard to predict how rapidly and powerfully he could outgrow every other character in the Boruto series.
