The “Crystal of Atlan” is a freshly launched role-playing game (RPG) that combines elements of magic and technology, falling under the genre known as “magicpunk.” In this universe, players can choose from various adventurer classes, each with distinct sub-classes. Notably, every class boasts a unique visual style.
Players can elevate their gameplay experience in Crystal of Atlan beyond simply appreciating the storyline and mastering the combat system. They might prefer to personalize their adventure by choosing a character that aligns with their tastes. Luckily, this game offers a customization feature where players can modify their character’s appearance at a relatively low cost, allowing for minor adjustments to suit their preference.
How to Change Appearance in Crystal of Atlan
When players embark on the journey of Crystal of Atlan, they are presented with five starting character classes: Swordsman, Musketeer, Magister, Puppeteer, and Fighter. Each class comes with its unique character design, although it’s important to note that these designs are gender-specific. However, you won’t have them for long, as at Level 15, you’ll need to advance your character into their specialized advanced classes, which feature different appearances.
Once you finish the class advancement mission, Ellie will acquaint you with a merchant named Cici in Lumiville. It’s worth noting that you can talk to Cici even before the introduction as soon as you enter Lumiville. Following your interaction with Cici, you’ll encounter several choices to make:
This version aims to maintain a conversational and easy-to-understand style while still providing clear information about the game’s progression and character interactions.
- Dye Outfit
- Change Appearance
- Marionette Customization (If you choose the Puppeteer class)
- Chat
In this setup, the dye system applies only to outfits that you currently possess and can be dyed. Conversely, the change appearance system offers a variety of pre-set options, including facial traits, hairstyles, and clothing colors. Additionally, you’ll find a slider for adjusting your in-game character’s skin tone.
In this game, the ability to customize Marionettes is exclusive to players who opt for the Puppeteer roles. This feature enables you to alter the color of specific parts of your puppet character’s body. Keep in mind that each modification carries a small cost, but it won’t strain your finances even if you frequently change your character’s look (it’s best to save these resources for boosting your unit’s strength instead).
How to Get and Use Outfits in Crystal of Atlan
Players will gain access to the Outfit section in the Gear menu once they have advanced to Level 10. These outfits are articles of clothing that do not occupy gear slots, but they come with extra bonus stats and visually change your character’s attire. You can acquire an outfit through various events within the game, the Outfit Summoning System, or by purchasing them from the Cash Shop. Notably, all outfits available in the summon banner and shop utilize a limited currency (Opal and Prismadium), which can be obtained by spending real money to purchase them directly from the shop.
If you find an item with desirable stats but not your preferred look, you can utilize the Transmog Outfit system to alter the appearance of a specific piece within the outfit, making it resemble another item you currently possess. This way, you can modify the outfit’s appearance without losing its beneficial stats. To accomplish this, you’ll need a special item called Refraction Crystal, which can be purchased or acquired through the outfit summoning system.
