This article contains spoilers from One Piece’s Elbaf Arc.
Summary
- Luffy’s strength grew in Wano, reaching Yonko level with Gear 5 and Conqueror’s Haki.
- Imu is a powerful enemy, stronger than anyone Luffy has faced, and even pales compared to Kaido.
- Luffy needs to surpass Gear 5, improve Haki, and learn soul damage to defeat Imu.
The long-awaited climax of the One Piece series has finally arrived for fans, marking the start of the most thrilling chapter in the story’s narrative. For years now, fans have been eagerly anticipating the onset of the Final Saga, while Oda himself has been itching to illustrate it since 1999, if not earlier. As stated by Oda himself, this final act of One Piece promises groundbreaking lore revelations and the unveiling of its deepest mysteries.
simultaneously, the Final Saga guarantees epic battles for viewers, and they are indeed thrilled about it. In truth, the ongoing storyline by Oda, Elbaf, has already delivered breathtaking conflicts and even more are coming, particularly since Imu is now in Elbaf. Without a doubt, Elbaf is currently the most intense part of the whole narrative, and the tension is incredibly high. This intensity is what makes One Piece’s Final Saga so surprising when Luffy fails to overcome Imu, as his Gear 5 and Conqueror’s Haki may not be enough for a complete victory.
Luffy Is Yonko Level With Gear 5 And Conqueror’s Haki
- Luffy Attained Gear 5 in Wano
- Conqueror’s Haki Infusion Is A Strong Weapon
Currently, Luffy is undeniably one of the strongest characters within the realm of “One Piece,” and this fact isn’t lost on fans. Throughout his journey in “One Piece,” Luffy’s strength has been on a steady incline, with the Wano arc being particularly significant for him. It was during this arc that he unlocked the power of Gear 5, a moment that occurred during his battle against Kaido. Despite almost meeting his end at Kaido’s hands, it was at this critical juncture that Luffy’s Devil Fruit finally awakened, propelling him to the level of Yonko. However, while his Devil Fruit awakening provides a significant power boost, it’s not the only means of acquiring power within the world of “One Piece.
This is my peak! This is Gear 5! — Luffy
I, myself, can vouch for the fact that possessing top-tier Haki is essential, and luckily, Luffy has it mastered! Take Wano as an example, where Luffy unlocked Conqueror’s Haki Infusion during his epic battle against Kaido. With all these powers combined, there’s no doubt that Luffy is the ultimate free-spirited fighter among us all.
He can undergo transformations beyond belief, empower others with his might, and wield Armament, Observation, and Conqueror’s Haki in every single strike he makes. Truly, Luffy is a force to be reckoned with! However, even his immense power seems insignificant when compared to the enigmatic figure of Imu.
Imu’s Power Is Far Too Great For Luffy To Fight Against
Imu Is A Demon God With Frightening Power
In the world of One Piece, Imu isn’t your typical adversary. They possess a strength that surpasses any foe Luffy has encountered thus far, and even powerful figures like Kaido seem insignificant compared to Imu. Residing within Gunko’s body, Imu is an extraordinary being with divine-like powers. It’s plausible that they could easily overpower Luffy if he were to fight alone. Furthermore, Imu is not just a powerful entity but also an immortal one, which means Luffy can’t inflict any harm upon them, at least for now.
Allow Mu to show thee the dominance of a God! — Imu
Indeed, it appears Imu possesses extraordinary powers, bestowing immortality upon the Holy Knights and Five Elders, while granting monstrous abilities to others, as exemplified by the Yokai of the Five Elders. Moreover, there are striking similarities between Imu and Gunko, hinting that Imu might have the ability to bestow Devil Fruit powers upon others too. Considering all these factors, it’s clear that Imu is an immense force, and as we saw in One Piece chapter 1149, Imu is also a proficient user of Conqueror’s Haki. Given Luffy’s current strength, he seems unable to overcome Imu. This is because the legendary Joy Boy, who is known to be stronger than Luffy, was unable to defeat them.
Luffy Needs A Greater Power To Beat Imu
As a fervent fan, I’m excited about the prospect of Luffy overcoming Imu! This requires him to elevate his strength substantially, which involves achieving complete command over Gear 5 and refining his Haki skills to a superior level. Moreover, Luffy needs to grasp the art of soul damage, as this is essential for countering immortality. Scopper Gaban could be instrumental in helping Luffy reach new heights in this journey!
In exactly one week from now, we’ll have the next installment of One Piece, Chapter 1151! As always, it will be published on Sunday. For our Japanese readers, the chapter will go live at midnight Japan Standard Time (JST) on Monday. However, for most international fans, the chapter release is scheduled for June 8.
