The long-awaited cross-play feature has been released in Palworld, bringing extra features, tweaks, and modifications along with it.
Following today’s update, Palworld gamers can now play alongside friends on any platform due to the introduction of the cross-play function. Moreover, the Global Palbox is in place now, facilitating the storing of Pal data and the transfer of Pals between various worlds. A fresh storage system called Dimensional Pal Storage has been implemented, offering players a capacity ten times greater than a standard Palbox. This expanded box can be accessed by guild members and serves as both communal and personal storage.
In addition to cross-play and character migration among friends (Pals), the latest update for Palworld introduces several cosmetic and photo mode enhancements. A new cosmetic armor system, similar to transmog in other games, lets players change their appearance at the Antique Dresser without altering any stats. Additionally, the photo mode can be accessed via the Pal Command Wheel, and users can merge low-tier blueprints to create high-tier ones. Lastly, dedicated servers have been implemented for Mac users.
In addition, Palworld has implemented certain modifications such as linking roof or foundation sections that automatically snap into place, and now players have the ability to sit on chairs and cushions. There are also balance tweaks, for example, summoned raid bosses no longer cause damage to other bases, and adjustments to NPC rewards. For those eager to explore these changes, updates in UI design, and bug resolutions, please find the complete patch notes here.
Additionally, Pocketpair has clarified that at present, standalone servers for the PlayStation 5 edition of Palworld cannot be accessed. However, the developers are diligently working on implementing this feature and plan to release it in the upcoming months.
