Summary

  • PS Plus Extra subscribers can now play Destiny 2: Legacy Collection.
  • The collection includes major expansions and dungeons, providing hours of content.
  • Upcoming PS Plus updates will bring games like Myst and Grand Theft Auto 3: The Definitive Edition.

For those subscribed to the Extra level or beyond on PlayStation Plus, they now have access to play Destiny 2: Legacy Collection using their subscription. Lately, the Extra tier of PlayStation Plus has been bustling with activity, as Sony adds bonus games for subscribers to enjoy during the Days of Play promotion.

The bonus games for PS Plus Extra began by including the unique Soulslike game, “Another Crab’s Treasure,” which features players navigating an ocean teeming with formidable bosses. Subsequently, the open-world pirate game from Ubisoft, “Skull and Bones,” was added to the lineup. This game stirred controversy upon its initial release for its microtransactions and live-service aspects, but now PS Plus Extra members can give it a spin without any additional cost beyond their ongoing subscription fee.

With the recent update to PS Plus, both Extra and Premium tier members now have an additional title to explore – the “Destiny 2: Legacy Collection”. This compilation brings together the main game along with several significant expansions, offering a wealth of content for enthusiasts. Essentially, the “Destiny 2: Legacy Collection” provides PS Plus subscribers an opportunity to delve into a substantial portion of the “Destiny 2” universe, particularly when combined with one of the latest free games offered by PS Plus Essential.

What Comes in Destiny 2: Legacy Collection?

  • Lightfall Standard Edition
  • The Witch Queen Standard Edition
  • Beyond Light Pack
  • Shadowkeep Pack
  • Forsaken Pack
  • 30th Anniversary Pack
  • Pit of Heresy Dungeon
  • Shattered Throne Dungeon
  • Grasp of Avarice Dungeon

As a devoted PlayStation fan, I’m thrilled to share that the PS Plus Essential games are open to all tiers of subscribers! To celebrate Days of Play, they even added Destiny 2: The Final Shape as an extra freebie. With this latest addition, the abundance of Destiny 2 content now accessible to PS Plus Extra members could potentially keep us engrossed for countless hours, especially for those who dive deep into raids and competitive PvP gameplay.

Despite the free content in Destiny 2 keeping subscribers occupied for quite some time, there’s even more excitement on the horizon. On June 5, Myst and Riven will join PS Plus Premium, while Grand Theft Auto 3: The Definitive Edition will be added to the Extra tier on June 10. Both PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers can anticipate their regular monthly update, which is expected around June 17. Among the new games coming to PS Plus that day, we know Firebreak (FBC: Firebreak) will be a day one release.
