In the “Friend of My Enemy” mission within “Assassin’s Creed Shadows,” Naoe is tasked with gathering vital details to identify her upcoming objective.
This is a concise but crucial journey that sets off a series of other missions, all revolving around locating Oba Nobunaga, a formidable adversary suspected of aiding in the death of Naoe’s father.
In this walkthrough, you’ll find all the essential information regarding the “Friend of My Enemy” mission in “Assassin’s Creed Shadows”. It includes suggestions for dialogues and indicates where to employ Scouts to precisely mark your target using waypoints.
Friend of My Enemy Quest Walkthrough
In the Friend of My Enemy mission from Assassin’s Creed Shadows, your initial goal is to have a conversation with Tomiko at her Hideout. She will then advise that you should arrange a meeting with Mitsuhide, a risky endeavor on its own.
As a gamer, I find myself in a tricky situation, for Mitsuhide’s reputation is one of danger. Yet, I decide to arrange a meeting with him. However, locating him precisely is the first challenge I must conquer before our encounter can take place.
Finding Mitsuhide
The game offers a clue suggesting that Mitsuhide is stationed in Katano Castle, Settsu. Feel free to deploy your Scouts near this location to mark a destination (as indicated by the image above). A heads up: If you run out of Scouts, replenish them at the Kakurega in your Hideout for 200 mon.
Upon arriving at Katano Castle, you are welcome to enter without hesitation. I initially assumed it was off-limits, but it seems that’s not the case and there will be no guards preventing your entry. However, remember to avoid any actions that might provoke the guards, such as brandishing weapons or bumping into them.
Within the confines of Katano Castle, direct your attention (or use your scanning abilities) to thoroughly examine the surroundings and identify the tiny, blue marker. This distinctive symbol should guide you towards the location of Mitsuhide. He can be found nestled within a compact structure situated on the northwestern sector of the castle.
Speaking to Mitsuhide
While chatting with Mitsuhide, you’ll encounter several responses to pick from. Initially, Mitsuhide might assert that he has significant knowledge about Naoe’s plans. In this scenario, you could express surprise by saying “Wow, you seem to know quite a bit” or convey skepticism using “You don’t seem to know anything at all.
In a different wording, Mitsuhide might convey that he is aware of the circumstances surrounding Naoe’s father, specifically his death. Your possible responses could be either “I find your information credible,” or “I question the truthfulness of what you’re saying.
Remember, each dialog option you pick won’t affect the mission’s or story’s end result, so feel free to select whatever resonates with you. But just so you know, the responses you get from Mitsuhide will vary depending on your choice.
In summary, feel free to engage in roleplay as a bold Naoe by arguing against him or portray an innocent Naoe by going along with whatever Mitsuhide suggests.
Regardless of the circumstances, it turns out that Mitsuhide will endorse Naoe’s undertaking. He assigns his son-in-law and fellow conspirator, Lord Ise Sadaoki, to aid you in establishing contact with Oba Nobunaga, who is Naoe’s next objective.
In this scenario, these two elements will assist Naoe in securing access to Honnoji, signifying the commencement of the primary mission titled “Belly of the Beast” within Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
