The much-anticipated game, “SpongeBob: Krusty Cook-Off,” has now landed on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles! Originally designed for mobile devices, this new version has eliminated the microtransactions, offering players a more conventional progression system instead.

Later in 2025, a brand-new SpongeBob game will be released by THQ Nordic, giving players another underwater adventure to enjoy.

This game is billed as a “fast-food cooking adventure,” where you can design your very own Bikini Bottom eatery, which you’re free to customize and decorate according to your whimsy. The main action revolves around cooking dishes straight from the “SpongeBob” TV series. Characters like Patrick Star, Squidward, and others will drop by as customers. Moreover, there are extra outfits up for grabs for the characters of the “SpongeBob SquarePants” franchise. Unlike its mobile predecessor, this game doesn’t require any grinding to unlock kitchen decorations, costumes, or gear; instead, they’re earned through progression.
