SHIB and DOGE Prices React to Elon Musk Paying Tribute to Kabosu

As a researcher with a background in meme culture and cryptocurrency, I find Elon Musk’s tribute to Kabosu, the beloved Shiba Inu dog behind the Dogecoin meme, both heartwarming and intriguing. The image of Harambe, the gorilla with angel wings, hugging Kabosu among ethereal clouds is a poignant reminder of how interconnected our digital worlds can be.

As a thoughtful and introspective analyst, I cannot help but reflect on the passing of Kabosu, the beloved Shiba Inu canine who inadvertently became a cultural icon through her association with the Dogecoin meme. Entrepreneur Elon Musk, among many others, has taken a moment to honor her memory and pay tribute to the indelible impact she left on the world.

As an analyst, I’d suggest paraphrasing it this way: In a contentious image shared by the centibillionaire, Harambe the gorilla is depicted with angelic wings embracing the legendary canine, floating amongst clouds that radiate a supernatural luminescence.

As a researcher examining Elon Musk’s statement about Dogecoin (Doge), I would rephrase it as follows: Musk expressed that Doge has “reached new heights in the cryptocurrency world” to reunite with its beloved symbol, Harambe.

As an analyst, I’ve observed an intriguing development in the cryptocurrency market. Specifically, the price of Dogecoin (DOGE) experienced a significant surge of over 4% following Elon Musk’s posting of an image on his social media profile. This price increase was followed by a partial correction. Simultaneously, Shiba Inu (SHIB), a rival meme coin, also saw a modest gain of almost 3%. However, these gains were relatively short-lived for both digital currencies.

According to U.Today’s report, I regrettably confirm that Kabosu, our cherished 19-year-old Shiba Inu celebrity, departed this world on Friday. Atsuko Sato, Kabosu’s loving owner, shared that her precious pet peacefully “crossed the rainbow bridge,” spared of any suffering.

In the year 2010, following his adoption by Sato in 2008, Kabuso gained widespread fame on social media due to a single captivating photograph that sparked the popular Doge meme.

Ungrammatical memes featuring a charming Shiba Inu canine gave rise to the establishment of Dogecoin, the cryptocurrency, in the year 2013. Later on, in 2021, this digital currency gained immense popularity after being extensively endorsed by Musk.

Joining Prince and David Bowie

In 2016, Harambe the gorilla captivated the public’s emotions as news spread that this western lowland gorilla had taken a three-year-old child into his enclosure at the zoo. Sadly, a zoo employee felt compelled to shoot Harambe dead in response.

Harambe the deceased gorilla eventually gained immense popularity online, leading him to be the most talked-about meme of the year. His presence was deeply felt in the digital realm through trending hashtags like #JusticeForHarambe. Before Elon Musk’s post, Harambe had already been the subject of various quirky tributes. He was even compared to cultural icons such as David Bowie and Prince.

In May 2021, a photo of the gorilla was auctioned as a non-fungible token.
