In the latest update for “Grow a Garden”, a variety of new elements such as seeds, quests, and crafting recipes were introduced. Notably, the Dinosaur Egg is a standout addition, providing Roblox players with an opportunity to acquire one of six unique prehistoric pets.
In the game “Grow a Garden“, not every dinosaur companion is worth pursuing, but for newcomers or enthusiasts of dinosaurs, it’s crucial to know how to obtain Dinosaur Eggs and what species they can produce. This guide provides all essential information, including probabilities and pet abilities.
How to Get Dinosaur Eggs in Grow a Garden
In the game “Grow a Garden“, there are multiple methods to acquire Dinosaur Eggs. One approach involves trading non-dinosaur pets with Graham at his Dinosaur Eggs booth, which is situated in the center of the map. He accepts any pet species except dinosaurs, but players must wait for 60 minutes after giving up their previous pet to receive a Dinosaur Egg. Alternatively, you can obtain Dinosaur Eggs by completing Dino Quests given by Blaire. These quests start on their own and reset every six hours, with a total of fifteen possible Dino Quests available.

All Dinosaur Egg Pets and Probabilities

Pet Name and Rarity | Probability | Traits and Abilities |
---|---|---|
Raptor (Legendary) | 35% | ~2.25% chance fruit gets Amber mutation after being harvested. Rarer plants have a lower chance of mutating. Grants an additional ~14% increase to player movement speed. |
Triceratops (Legendary) | 32.5% | Every 3.33m, it rams into 3 random plants and advances their growth by 33.33m. Has a ~15% chance to do it again each time. |
Stegasaurus (Legendary) | 28% | ~9% chance of harvested fruit being duplicated. Rarer crops have a lower chance of being duplicated. ~5% extra chance for prehistoric-type fruit to be duplicated. |
Pterodactyl (Legendary) | 3% | Every ~10m, it flaps its wings and sends out ripples of wind, causing ~3.5 random fruit to get Windstruck, with an ~18% chance for Twisted to be applied as well. Grants an additional ~15% increase to player Jump height. |
Brontosaurus (Mythical) | 1% | Pets hatched from eggs have a ~5% increase in base size and weight. This size bonus is capped at 30% per egg and does not apply to Brontosauruses. |
T-Rex (Divine) | 0.5% | Every ~20m, it devours a random mutation from your garden, then roars, spreading that mutation to ~3.5 other random fruits in your garden. |
Dinosaur eggs take approximately 4 hours and 16 minutes to hatch, offering players a chance at one of six distinct dinosaur companions. The T-Rex is highly sought after because it can reproduce rare mutations, but the Brontosaurus and Stegosaurus aren’t shabby either. When trading for Dinosaur Eggs, it’s best to stick with common pets like Dogs, Golden Retrievers, or Bunnies since they have minimal value and are easily found at Raphael’s egg store.
