Elden Ring Nightreign finds a new way to victimise players as Nightfarers accidentally fight 2 bosses at once: ‘They were convinced I was just being dumb’

For some time now, Elden Ring: Nightreign has been plagued with several glitches, not referring to the Sentient Pest here. I’ve experienced a few problems that hindered teammates from performing resurrections, and once, one of the map bosses vanished from my view, even though it was still present and causing me harm. However, a new bug has surfaced, but at least it appears visually appealing.

During a game, I fought against Gladius while my team faced off with Libra. However, midway through, I got disconnected, only to find out on day three that something strange happened. This seems unusual as it appears in the video that I was fighting for my life against Gladius, while the rest of the team seemed to be standing still. Is this a glitch or am I missing something?” – lilfacetou’s explanation.

Fought Gladius while my team fought Libra… wtf from r/Nightreign

Initially, it might appear that they’re completely unproductive, idling as their teammate carries the load. However, conversations about strategies unfold, such as when one player queries, “Should I invest in more knowledge? Should I invest in more knowledge?” This question triggers lilfacetou to wonder if they’re causing a disturbance. In truth, from their teammate’s perspective, lilfacetou seems to be merely playing around and shooting at empty space; the actual adversary they were supposed to confront is Libra.

By the close of the video, Gladius has reduced significantly to roughly 75% of its starting vitality, which, in a fair assessment, is quite remarkable. However, the battle against Gladius persists as it transforms and retransforms, a testament to its resilience. Meanwhile, the rest of the team engages with Libra, and one member can be heard repeating “Bug-reign, bug-reign.

It seems that during my more than 100 hours of gameplay on Nightreign, I hadn’t come across this issue before, but it appears that this bug isn’t as rare as I might have assumed. A player has shared a similar experience in the comments: “I faced off against two Gladius’, while my team engaged with Fulghor.” Oh boy, is anything more troublesome than one three-legged dog? Definitely two three-legged dogs!

Other players tease that the character you’re playing, Libra’s Everdark Sovereign, might be a sneak peek because it brings real-world chaos to the game by calling another Nightlord, causing you to appear foolish in the eyes of your team.

To be serious now, I believe there might be some truth in this bug’s behavior. The Everdark bosses, such as Gapping Jaw and Fulghor, haven’t exactly passed the test of quality. Despite the initial difficulty of Gapping Jaw, both Fulghor and Sentient Pest didn’t meet the players’ expectations. In fact, players breezed through these challenges so rapidly that FromSoftware found it necessary to replay them just to create additional Everdark Sovereigns.

It’s apparent that the Nightfarers are yearning for a harder battle, and I propose that they should face multiple Nightlords simultaneously. Now let me explain, this might sound terrifying, but I believe it would be thrilling in an unsettling manner. The Gaping Jaw and Auger could team up as a chaotic yet calm duo, while Libra and Gladius would make an exciting pair to battle against. This change would intensify the experience without demanding excessive effort to implement. Take my word for it, this is the ideal step until more Everdark bosses are unveiled.
