Mario Kart World Player Shares Neat Idea to Make Water Routes More Exciting

As a die-hard Mario Kart fan, I recently came up with an exciting idea to shake things up in the game’s water courses: let Gooper Blooper serve as a hazard! This concept has been generating buzz on social media, and it’s sparked other creative ideas from fellow enthusiasts on how we could enhance Mario Kart World even further.

Just like in previous Mario Kart games I’ve played, the new MK World is chock-full of hazards hidden along its tracks. Dodging Chain Chomps that roll menacingly, evading Hammer Brother squads, and ducking under Bullet Bill launchers are just a few examples of obstacles that can make or break my race if I’m not careful enough.

Discussing further developments, Reddit user Beaks777777 recently suggested an intriguing idea: a Gooper Blooper risk. This fan believed that incorporating this story-friendly element would make sense for the game, although they inadvertently called it Big Blooper instead of Gooper Blooper, which is actually a different character within the constantly growing Mario universe.

Some Fans Want Blooper Added to Mario Kart World Roster

The proposition circulated across various Reddit communities, leading to further conversations among enthusiasts. One participant voiced their thoughts on the concept, suggesting that the standard Blooper could also enhance the character roster in the _Mario Kart World_, a point made by some who feel the lineup is deficient due to certain conspicuous absences. Specifically, the exclusion of Diddy Kong has sparked vocal protests from devoted followers, while others have voiced dissatisfaction over what they perceive as an excess of ordinary non-player characters.

Regarding the Gooper Blooper proposal, it seems unlikely that Mario Kart World will incorporate it at this time. If the game were to eventually include this classic character, who first appeared in Super Mario Sunshine on the GameCube, it would likely be through downloadable content packs. Additionally, making changes to existing tracks by adding new hazards after release is not a common practice for Nintendo. Therefore, those eager to see Gooper Blooper join the game’s roster may find downloadable content to be the most probable solution.

As of now, Nintendo hasn’t provided any hint about additional content for Mario Kart World in the form of DLC. However, the lack of immediate post-launch content doesn’t necessarily mean that there won’t be future updates. The fact that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, a previous mainline game in the series, received its Booster Course Pass more than five years after it was first released, suggests that there could potentially be similar expansions for Mario Kart World. For the moment, it’s clear that the absence of certain characters hasn’t affected the new game’s commercial success, as Mario Kart World has already sold over 1 million units less than a month after its release.
