While progressing through the game “Donkey Kong Bananza,” you encounter diverse Elder creatures who bestow unique abilities to aid you in reaching the planet’s core and permanently thwart VoidCo. The second Elder character you’ll find within the Forest Layer at the Eggshell Hotel is an Elder Ostrich, similar to the Kong Elders. To access the next Bananza transformation, place an ancient record on the turntable in front of this creature. However, the record consists of two parts, and locating them amidst the various levels of the Eggshell Hotel can be challenging. All Forest Layer Ancient Record Piece Locations in Donkey Kong Bananza

In the Eggshell Hotel, you must locate two old artifacts hidden on the lower levels. Once found, bring them individually to Elder Ostrich to reconstruct an ancient record and fulfill your goal.

Forest Layer Ancient Record Piece #1

You can locate the initial part of the recording from the ‘Hotel Pool Floor’. To get there, proceed through the golden doors situated to the right of the Ostrich Elder, and you’ll find yourself descending onto this level.

Look directly in front of you, and you’ll notice an old artifact housed within a tiny oval-shaped enclosure situated over a distance. Walk towards it along the path on your right side, and you will come upon a set of double doors. These doors open into a central chamber containing one of the items you can use to hit targets, forming a bridge for you to cross.

Retrieve the seed, exit via the door you entered earlier, then retrace your steps to where the Olden Inscription is kept. Toss the seed towards the designated spot on the pillar that supports both the architectural element and the fragment of the Ancient Record to cross over and retrieve it.

From one of the slithering adversaries, it will emerge and attempt to bite you. React swiftly by tossing a seed, or grab some earth nearby and hurl it at the enemy’s spiky hide to eliminate it.

Make your way towards the billiards area once more, and you’ll spot a barrel directly in front of you that serves as a passage to reascend to the abode of the Elder Ostrich. There, you can deposit the first antiquated record piece from the forest layer onto the turntable.

Forest Layer Ancient Record Piece #2

In the Eggshell Hotel, just beneath the pool room on a lower floor, you can discover the second historical artifact hidden in the garden. To get there, descend from the pool room and go opposite the direction where you retrieved the first piece. Once you’ve rounded a corner, you’ll spot another set of golden doors to break through, leading you down to the lush garden area.

The garden is filled with prickly plants and areas tainted with a deep-hued blight. Immediately upon entering, make a right turn near a column nestled between fragments of internal walls to locate a swift path leading to our destination.

In this location, there’s a poster from VoidCo on the wall. Climb up onto the wall here, then move to your right following the purple Void trail. As you go, pick up the golden nuggets until you reach a platform with one of the Void containers. Knock down the totem to eradicate the Void pollution and jump down to the lower level.

In the vicinity of two ostriches lies an ancient artifact hidden within the second layer of the forest. Retrieve it, then employ a nearby barrel as a catapult to propel yourself back up to the Elder Ostrich. Once you’ve done that, position the artifact on the turntable to initiate the ostrich transformation. This transformation in Donkey Kong Bananza will bestow upon you the power of flight, allowing you to glide and continue your journey through the various forest layers, ultimately progressing toward new adventures.
