Nintendo has revealed a fresh bundle for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2, which will come with the game Pokemon Legends: Z-A. Set to launch on both the original Nintendo Switch and the new Nintendo Switch 2 in October, this eagerly awaited first-party release from Nintendo is a highly anticipated title for their hybrid console. Pokemon enthusiasts who haven’t grabbed the latest system may wish to hold off and consider getting this special bundle when it hits stores later in the year.
In the Pokemon Legends: Z-A game, players are taken back to the Kalos region, which was initially introduced in Pokemon X and Y. For the first time in the series, this game will offer real-time combat. During the Pokemon Presents livestream on July 22, the pre-order incentives for Pokemon Legends: Z-A were unveiled. These bonuses include a Ralts holding a Gardevoirite stone and 100 Poke Balls, which are given to those who purchase the game early on either the Switch or the upcoming Switch 2, after spending an hour in the game. Players who have been waiting for Nintendo’s new console to come out can potentially take advantage of this, as a new bundle will make it easier to buy both the game and the console together when Pokemon Legends: Z-A is released.
On Twitter, Nintendo recently unveiled an upcoming Switch 2 package, set to launch on October 16. This special edition comes with a preinstalled game, Pokemon Legends: Z-A, but unfortunately, pre-orders haven’t been opened yet. The bundle will retail for $499.99 once it becomes available. While many are looking forward to its release, some fans and collectors might feel let down because the new Switch 2 bundle only provides a digital game code rather than a physical game copy. Some commenters have already expressed their disappointment that the package doesn’t feature new Joy-Con colors or a distinctive Pokemon-themed design for the console itself.
New Nintendo Switch 2 Bundle Will Include Pokemon Legends: Z-A
As a gamer myself, I’ve gotta say, the Nintendo Switch 2 has been nothing short of a sensation ever since it dropped on June 5. In just four days, it managed to sell over 3.5 million units globally – that’s double the initial sales of the original Switch!
The console’s upgrades are pretty impressive. We’re talking about a larger screen, sharper graphics, GameChat functionality, and an improved cooling system. But some gamers have expressed concerns about its price tag and the limited number of games available at launch. There’s also a bit of frustration brewing over the frequent use of Game-Key cards. Still, for me, the Switch 2 is shaping up to be quite the gaming powerhouse!
In addition to “Pokemon Legends: Z-A”, there are rumors that several other significant first-party Nintendo Switch 2 games are set for release in 2025, such as “Metroid Prime 4: Beyond” and “Kirby Air Riders”. Although Nintendo enthusiasts are optimistic, it is yet unclear if either of these titles will prompt a new exclusive Switch 2 bundle.
